  1. Is now http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/c/celtic/8586352.stm
  2. Maybe Lennon will be offered the job on a full time basis.
  3. They're trying to take some consolation from their humiliation last night!
  4. At the end of the day, the players who did start should have been good enough to beat any team in the SPL, treble would have been brilliant of course but I'll happily settle for another double.
  5. I am in the situation where I haven't even seen any of the game, didn't even get to hear it on the radio, but from what I've read the players who were brought in should have had enough talent and determination to beat any team in the SPL in any competition. By the way, regarding some of the comments about Coisty totally unfair, Walter was actually in charge last night, and anyway that is irrelevant as I've said the players who started should have been good enough to win, and people must also remember that the players who usually start couldn't beat Utd at Ibrox. One consolation from last night was the hearty laughs at Celtic getting thumped by St Mirren, a team who couldn't beat us when we only had 9 players on the pitch!
  6. Kris Boyd and his agent can talk to any club they want now that he is in the final few months of his contract. This is the case when a player is in the last few months of their contract.
  7. Having a prolific scorer is useful but not the end all and be all, it's a team that wins and I remember days in the past where a lot of our goals didn't come from the strikers.
  8. At the end of the day one player doesn't make a team, I am more concerned about the future of the club, who will own it, will Walter be offered a new contract etc than what is going to happen with Boyd. If he stays he stays and with the amount of goals he scores in the SPL I'll be happy with that, but if he goes then the club will easily move on and even if we don't get a single player who is as prolific as him we will have a team who can score goals and win games.
  9. Heavy Rain is Shite! I'm thinking about buying this game but not going to buy another game until I have fully completed FF13.
  10. Some of those pictures are excellent, but where the fuck is the pigeon?
  11. An absolute class act that will be hard to follow by whoever replaces him, can see whoever it is always being compared to Weir etc etc which I hope doesn't happen, would love it if he was signed in a coaching role for the defenders as he brings so much to the game but in all honesty I doubt he will as he might want to move back South permanently. Does deserve a great send off though if he does leave us at the end of the season, quite a few actually, last SPL game at Ibrox, and for when he lifts the Scottish Cup at Hampden.
  12. Another player who unfortunately got hampered by injuries and then found it difficult to break into the team, maybe it will be a turning point for him and he can kick start his career again as has happened to other players in the past.
  13. Aye but you're the not the brightest bulb in the box. And there is absolutely no reason for that sort of comment either! Two things, firstly Messi, I can understand why people are saying what they're saying, I agree he would find it harder here because some of the thugs that play would just hack him if there was ever a chance we could afford him. Yes it would be wonderful to have a team full of players who are of a Messi standard, but only wonderful if you're playing in a league where you can actually play football. Secondly, I thought this was a thread about Carroll?
  14. If he wasn't such a knob and there were the finances in place then I would have no problems if he signed for us, but bottom half EPL teams would offer him more money in wages than what we could afford and to me he is the type of player who will only be interested in the wages rather than the chance of winning medals and trophies and playing in Europe. He is a player who could be a very good player but his attitude stinks and I don't think he will ever grow up from that and would be in too much trouble time and time again. We could offer a straight swap for Lafferty though and see what happens!
  15. Only one cracking moment? Nah I know what you mean, the feelings that were running through the ground were immense and brilliant to see.
  16. He is an interesting character, I'll wait and see what he does with Scotland for this next championship campaign before I make a judgement on him. At least he isn't afraid to speak his mind, he does appear to have the respect of players, both when he was at Utd and with Scotland, and for quite a while Utd had been a very big bogey pain in the arse team for us! There are aspects of his persona which actually reminds me a bit of Walter, but time will tell if he will ever be good enough to manage us? At the time a lot of people were saying Big Eck should never have managed us, but look at the amount of trophies he won on a fairly tight budget and also took us to the last 16 of the CL.
  17. I know in the current financial climate for the club and the financial limitations in Scotland I find this slightly amusing, as a few years ago this would have been peanuts to us, and in comparison to what other clubs pay it wasn't that much. It's one of those classic moments where you have a player and you pay for what is regarded as being over the odds because they haven't performed to your expectations, it happens at every club, now if he had came here and managed to displace Boyd and knock goals in for fun etc then we would have been saying we've had a bargain, but hindsight is a wonderful thing.
  18. I'm sure he will, he'll learn from it and move on.
  19. I was so glad to see both of them being allowed to receive their medals and walk up the stairs, especially young Danny in his first major final.
  20. It was brilliant to see, not just from wee Novo, but from Walter, Coisty and Co as well, it meant so much to all of them.
  21. McGreaty... Oh wait he's a plastic paddy To be honest I really can't think of anyone we should sign, at the end of the day are they any better than what we've got? Sure they raise their game when playing against us, but are they good enough to make that step up?
  22. Would go with Muff's line up, if Davis ain't 100% I wouldn't play him and have Fleck in the centre of midfield.
  23. Wouldn't read too much into it in all honesty, there is a limited number of subs you're allowed for that competition.
