  1. If today's BBC gossip column is anything to go by as it appears Strachan is possibly showing more hypocrisy against players. "Scotland manager Gordon Strachan will not risk throwing inexperienced players into tonight's friendly with France." I thought the whole idea of friendlies is to give players like McKay a chance to actually show what they can do on the International stage. The sooner Scotland gets a manager in who will pick a player based on their club's performances the better.
  2. Didn't bother reading the article but I hope I got the general gist from the title thread, my view is this... FUCK OFF DJ Hibs need to be hammered for the actions of the cup, if their fans DID NOT invade the pitch then there would never have been any issues at all. This is two seasons in a row where Rangers players and fans have been attacked and the line needs to be drawn, it should never happen to a Rangers player or fan and it should never happen to any other player or fan of any other club, BUT it is happening to us and the authorities need to come down hard on the culprits that cause it.
  3. Hope we have an opening day score line similar to the one we had against Hibs on the first day of the season.
  4. I'm sure there was a similar thread not too long ago. Reasonable target for our club is to win every single game that we play in irrespective of who we play. Would also be nice if we were allowed to enter the Petrofac cup using our more youthful players.
  5. He really does have a weird looking face, creepy, almost slimy and the sort of person who would drive a van and ask if you wanted to see his puppies.
  6. An article appeared in the DR recently where one of their reporters had an exclusive interview with a police officer who was supposed to be trying to get into the ground but being stopped by our fans (vans being shaked, officers cursed and spat on and supposedly people using their children to block them), it's somewhere on the forum and is the biggest load of shite going.
  7. No they haven't, still no public apology from them at all. The SFA (Regan I think his name is) has apologised to Rangers.
  8. They probably forgot that it's a bank holiday today.
  9. Very unfair as most of the youth players who were nosing around the first team were out on loan last season, a lot of those who played in the youth ranks came from under 17s etc
  10. INCOMING Gers player Matt Crooks has today been named in the English League 2 team of the season. Crooks, who penned a four year deal with the club will join this summer along with his fellow Accrington Town team mate Josh Windass was named as a midfielder in the line upannounced today. The 22 year old can play in midfield or in the heart of defence, played 35 times for Stanley this season, playing in League 2, the Capital One Cup and the FA Cup. He scored eight goals in all matches and was booked twelve times throughout the campaign. http://rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/crooks-team-year/ Congratulations to him and I highlighted a little bit which might show where he might be preferred for next season.
  11. We don't see how players do in the training regime so not only is it unfair but also a bit harsh stating that some of our youngsters can't make the step up to the first team squad so yeah MW might have stated 2 or 3 more permanent signings, those signings can be supplemented from players in the academy being promoted to the first team and also the probable loan signings that are likely to be brought in. People have moaned on here for years that our younger players not being given a chance well hells bells we now have a manager who might actually give them a chance.
  12. He has actually been getting into our squad ahead of our own players whilst playing for a shitty forest team.
  13. Don't know if there is a separate thread but the hypocrisy from Strachan is unbelievable, he has stated that McGinn still has a future in the Scotland set up even though Hibs are still a second tier team. Even though I will support any Scottish Rangers player who wants to play for Scotland in this day and age I really don't give a fuck about Scotland as a team whilst this hypocrisy still exists.
  14. I was actually commenting on your contradictions between your posts I'm also not sure how you can find it weak he commented quite clearly on a few occasions that it was Hibs fans who started and caused the trouble he can't exactly say it any stronger than that, he also basically said the book should be thrown at them. I would really like to know how his comments are weak as he has clearly stated where the blame should lie and that the punishments should fit the crime.
  15. Can't remember on what site it was, but there was an article indicating that the police were too far away to get to the game on time once the trouble started at no time did that article mention it was because of trouble by our fans. The article if I remember correctly slated the police for the slowness of their reactions.
  16. You've just contradicted yourself, first you say it should have been a stronger statement and that it should have mentioned that it was by Hibs fans etc and now you've just came out with what I've quoted? You can't have it both ways and lets be honest here if don't get updates and statements where possible from the club the responses from our own fans would be even worse as every so often the situation that happened needs to be highlighted again until full justice is served to the HIbs fans and club.
  17. I think if you actually read or listen to the full article it is quite clear who he is talking about, "It was Hibs fans who came over the wall, it was HIbs fans who attacked our players and staff, it was Hibs fans who goaded our support" Obviously not a proper quotation but near enough to what he actually said, not sure how much clearer he could have made it.
  18. Err he did, “We would like to think the punishments that are meted out are wholly appropriate for the horrendous scenes that we all saw, and that they are very robust.”
  19. Need to disagree with you as on the original statement by the club they didn't support or condone the fans, they've stated as has been stated earlier that our fans reacted due to provocation. You need to be sensible in these matters, in no way can the club be seen to be condoning our fans who came onto the pitch as that would be turned against us, his interview is measured and clearly places the blame at the hands of the HIbs supporters whilst acknowledging that the club has to be seen to be taking action (probably through clenched teeth).
  20. No the Rhebel has exaggerated what he said (again), he said he will take appropriate action against any Rangers fan who came onto the pitch and under the circumstances (as he was actually still defending our fans because of the situation) this does not necessary mean any of our fans would be banned.
  21. Never mind it's only for one season, the following season we will be in the CL qualifications.
  22. I actually don't think it is a story in all honesty but a spin by a shitty rag trying to exaggerate something that was probably agreed when he first took over as manager. King; "Hey MW we will pay you this amount of money if you'll become our manager?" MW; "That's fine and if we get promotion as Champions at first attempt what then?" King; "Your wages will double in time for the new season once achieved." MW; "That's cool." End of season King and MW meet to cross the Ts and dot the Is.
  23. I'm surprised it took them this long to start a cover up for their own failings I wonder if the next thing we'll find is that the CCTV around the ground and local streets wasn't working and the cameras which most police use on their own uniforms and vehicles suddenly had electrical failings.
