Agree with most on here. Ideal for a team who plays once a week but he struggled to play weekend and midweek games, team like ours we need players who can play at near full strength sunday, wednesday, saturday Hodgson clearly doesnt want him and its more likely their board want to recoup the full amount they paid. I cant see any other offers going in for him so I hope we say "No thanks".

Magnin he may be the only person in modern football to sport a comb-over but ive always liked him. Playing left back for swiss, played rb against us as sub for Stuttgart. I dont think he's a first team player for Stuttgart so cant see a big fee or salary involved. Not a good game tonight but he's usually good, not quality but affordably good

Is S Smith out of contract in the summer? I havent heard anything apart from the last report on the 2 year extension in feb 2006 I like Papac and what Ive heard over the last year not many fans have come out and slated him except big DJ's outburst, he's come in and quietly worked away at learning the role without making a fuss to the papers. I dont think he's improved much, more that the left side of the team has compensated for his failings. He's awkward on the ball going forward, struggles to make overlapping runs effective and when he does manage to flight a ball in I dont remember one goal being a direct result of a Papac assist. Weir also doesnt trust him as he rarely passes to him unless he's under pressure and needs to. In defence he's solid and because he rarely goes forward his position is usually spot on. But even at his most confident this season he isnt as good as Smith going forward and he isnt as dedicated as Smith in defence. Biggest difference between the two is Papac is a methodical player, never loses his cool and goes about his role in the same attitude. S Smith harassed forwards when they attacked his wing and even outshone Hutton getting down the wing to contribute to attacks. Its good to have old rangers games on the hdd its easy to compare performances and watching S Smith against Maccabi their is no real competition. S Smith is better in every department. The only issue is the massive injury problem with S Smith, I doubt even the management team know whether he'll make it or not.
