I see that both Mondays and Saturdays shows are not available on their listen again, something they are trying to hide?

He needs to be a bit more aggressive for me when taking someone on around the box, he's too fond of laying the ball off when he has the opportunity to drive at his opponent or take a shot.

Why Did We Change Formation When We Were Destroying Them?
donegal_ger replied to Wawrinka's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
How Miller and Clark get game time over him is beyond me he has touch, skill and composure whilst those two have the touch of a trampoline and their bottle crashes when they have time to score. -

We were completely bossing at 1-1, they couldn't cope the pace we were playing at then we bring on Zelalem and Oduwa and it all changed we dropped the tempo took too long on the ball and let them back in. -

It's on their schedule, but with Champions League on that night also I thought no other matches could be shown live. -
There has been a direct correlation between our poorest performances this season and Miller starting, it's about time Hardie is given the minutes that have been afforded to Miller and Clark.

There is nothing wrong with the formation or style of play, I think it was just the wrong team selection all the way through the spine of the team. Everyone knew that the St Johnstone striker was very quick so we should of played Ball, our quickest centre back against him. In midfield we were very lightweight and Sheils should have started in place of either Holt or Zelalem. Next season we need a physically imposing midfielder to take the holding position and allow Halliday a role further forward. Finally, at the moment our best front 3 are McKay on the left, Oduwa on the right and Waghorn in the middle. Next season or in January we need to bring in a striker in the mould of a Prso, Jelavic or Cousin a striker who can bully defenders and allow Waghorn to play his best position coming in from the right.

The Lack Of Aerial Presence And Crossing.
donegal_ger replied to OlegKuznetsov's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
Dare I say it the type of striker we need is someone like the one the dhims have on trial at the moment, now I'm not advocating signing Carlton Cole but there must be similar types of strikers in the Championship or League 1 that Warburton knows of. -
The Lack Of Aerial Presence And Crossing.
donegal_ger replied to OlegKuznetsov's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
I dont think the aerial presence of the centre backs is a problem (its a lack of pace), the problem is that aside from them there is nobody else in the side that can effectively challenge for the ball in the air. What we need is a striker and a holding midfielder that have physical presence, technically good, pacey and dominant in the air. -
If they follow the example of Livingston and Dumbarton and park the proverbial double decker bus then I see a tight single goal victory, if they come out and try to play a bit then I can see us winning quite comfortably 3-0 or more.
-
If nobody else is brought in he'll be 4th choice equally comfortable at right back or centre back

A neighbour's uncle was a director at Villa during Doug Ellis's time as owner and was a big Rangers man and would have been in the directors box at Ibrox many times, he got me a club tie from one of the rangers directors during the late 90's.

Walter tried that after he failed on the left, then tried him in the middle after he failed there, then centreback when he failed there. The only time he played his proper position was when administration hit and it's the only time he has looked a half decent player, he is no more than a journeyman striker who can hit the odd sceamer from distance.

Walter Smith | Mccoist Wasn't Given Enough Time.
donegal_ger replied to WATBB's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
As they say it takes one to know one and Green saw that McCoist was a charlatan and unfortuately for us he was chased before he could get rid of Ally and his mates. -

Nicky Law To Leave For Half A Million?
donegal_ger replied to RFC72RFC's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
In the 4-4-2 that we tend to play he is the best player we have for the left side, he has the ability to beat a man to the byline and get a cross in and to cut inside and score or to create space for Wallace. One thing he certainly isn't is a central midfielder in that system maybe in a 3 man central midfield you can cover his weaknesses but not in a 2, but the blame lies with the management for leaving him in that position. We have seen a big improvement in his game since McCall came in and moved him to the left except for the QOS game when he was moved to the middle to cover for Sheils and by no coincidence thats been our worst performance since McCall took over. -
As I said in one of the threads talking about playing 3 at the back, Aird would be an ok right wingback he's never a winger and probably would be exposed at fullback but sadly he's just not good enough for our team, he's the ideal poster boy for the Jimmy Sinclair school of coaching in give me an athlete and I'll make him a player Aird's an athlete but he ain't no player. Templeton has ability but has no brains, ok for a cameo when we are winning and the opposition are tired and chasing the game should be dumped as soon as possible, we have better players in his position i.e. Law and in the youths with Walsh and McKay.
-
The reason he was praised then was because he played in the only position he should ever have played for us and he played it well then in the duds infinite wisdom he brought Daly then Boyd in to replace him and he was squeezed in anywhere and everywhere and performed poorly most of the time.
-
It's guaranteed he'll do it again, he can't get off the ground in aerial challenges much like Boyd so the only way he can win headers is to lead with his arm and foul his opponent then win the header and generally the header is poor and weak and puts us under more pressure.
