  1. Old computers are a wonderful thing, found this wee gem on an old hard drive last week purely by coincidence and felt it worth sharing http://www.4shared.c...rangers_2n.html Tommy the taxi driver commentates.
  2. I just clocked that the official site says the Copland rear will be opened to paying at the gate fans.
  3. When I was in on Tuesday the guy in the ticket office said all the top tiers were closed and then ran through availability, I got four together in GF3 and there were plenty of available seats in the other sections he showed me. I hope its a good crowd cause the atmosphere/game at Airdrie was great :-)
  4. Bet the knob jockey that admins the YouTube account had a wee snigger tae himself as he wrote the word newco. Very strange, obsessed individuals.
  5. They must have shat themselves when we asked for the game to be postponed. They must have been relying on the revenue they would have generated from us.
  6. They are already doing as much as they can to help the jam farts.
  7. I have yet to see the words 'oldco' and newco' used when reporting on Coventry's situation also. Only in this backwater is it acceptable for a publicly owned news outlet and a compliant media to perpetuate this myth that we are a new club using language that tries to blur the lines of truth.
  8. Tell a lie often enough, it may eventually become fact. We all know Spence made no mention of the PLC, which hasn't even been liquidated yet anyway. He was very deliberate in his delivery of the line that will no doubt take him over the cliff edge once the BBC in London start to respond to the complaints that fellow bears have had escalated past the bigots in the BBC Scotland/NI buildings.
  9. Because we would have lost the history etc. If you take a look at Airdries info on the SPFL site, it shows Clydebanks honours and then details the name change.
  10. When I came in the young team (I will call them this because it was a mixture of union Bears and some hingers on, most of which where in their early to mid teens), were all down the bottom end of the east stand for kick off, dancing about and givin it laldy to the Airdrie mob in the west stand. The game was only a couple of minutes in and the first smoke bomb went off. Now, as far as I could make out, this happened right in front of some supporters in wheelchairs and they all got shifted up towards us in block U. It was here they spent pretty much the entire game with several smoke bombs etc going off throughout the rest of the game. Now, these boys probably did give the atmosphere a good kick up the arse but they do need to be rained in a little because their constant goading of the police and security was an embarrassment and appears to be all they were interested in for the first half hour of the match. Because of all the jostling etc going on down the front, I witnessed one young fan getting very distressed when he was separated from him auld man and bounced about as they tried make their way up to their seats. The auld man was not a happy camper and started arguing with a couple of the boys on the stairwell. When it all started to calm down and they started singing, they did come into their own. Chants of 'yer just a man in a jacket' and 'theirs only one Andy Murray' to the dodgy lookalike security boy along with our usual songbook kept things alive through the whole game. The young team are the future, but they really need to calm down when it comes to dealing with the police etc.
  11. He still does the odd gig here and there in the social/bowling club circuit. Done a couple of shows with him over the years and my auld mans band backed him years ago at a caravan park in Anstruther also.
  12. It probably got flagged up because he was betting against his own team while playing.
  13. Managed to get 3 tickets for the East Stand on Tuesday from Rangers ticket office, give them a phone and see if they still have any.
  14. According to an Airdrie fan I know, we are getting almost 3 and a half stands. Apparently the Airdrie fans are ragin with Ballantyne or whatever his name is.
  15. I also noticed the Telegraph ran the story online stating that 'the holding company has gone into liquidation'. No shite about new club etc, just fact and low and behold, there was no evidence of those bastions of truth jumping all over the article claiming that this cannot be and they cannot be the same club.
  16. Firstrow sports is in the process of being blocked by all uk isp's following a court ruling in a case brought by the FA. There are other sites to view games on, but like torrents, these will be targeted and replaced accordingly by other sites. Watching fitba online this season will prob be a huge pain in the backside.
  17. I'm waiting on the public sale of season tickets to see if I can get into the family section. My boys 4 and he sits watching the games with me in the house and he wants to come with me when I play 5's etc so I figure why not get him his first season ticket. They put on entertainment to keep the young ones going before the game and into half time.
  18. His registration wasn't due to expire till Sunday, that's why they wanted it cleared quickly. If they failed to do it before then, I doubt they would have been able to complete the signing as his registration would have lappsed. Although, did we not resign an out of contract Andy Little during our registration ban, I can only guess this was allowed because we still held his registration.
  19. I have never had one, but now my boy is 4 it's time to get the finger out. Name is in the hat for 2 when the public sale goes ahead and I know at least 2 others who are looking to do the same.
  20. Technically it's not actually a transfer ban they are subject too, it's a registration ban. As he is currently registered with Hearts, they have used a loophole to keep him on their books on a full time basis instead of on loan. As shit as it is, they have now played the system twice nobody in the media has seen fit to question them laying off players while the SFA allow them to sign others and seemingly escape censure in the form of a fine for entering admin. Anyone surprised by the stark differences in theirs and our treatment, has obviously been living under a rock for the last 24 months.
  21. When is the public sale? Looking to get 2 for my boy and I, his first season at Ibrox.
  22. Mr Lunny will be in his ivory tower @ hamdump planning out a ban rota for him lol
  23. Some of the SPL clubs have a vested interest in the finances of SFL 1, with the chance of relegation for up to 2 of them with the introduction of play offs, it would have meant that their slice of the pie would have gotten even smaller. Every penny is a prisoner for at least half the clubs in the SPL, a further reduction in the SFL 1 prize fund after relegation could cause them problems when trying to regain promotion. It's all about self preservation with this lot, nothing more.
  24. I have a load of stuff on DVD from 86 to 00 ripped from video to DVD. Let me see what I can find for you. It might not be today though as I have some work on.
  25. Cant find anything on Transfer rules on the SFA site, but I did find this on the EPL's site: Now, as the 31st falls on a Saturday and the EPL class Monday to Friday as working days, I cant see the SFA closing the Scottish Transfer window 2 days earlier than the EPL's. I am guessing that we know this as a club and we will still have the opportunity to sign people up and register them before the window shuts.
