  1. To be fair, Walter using the more experienced players worked. You really can't have a dig at him for that. Aaron didn't look that fantastic when he played, I'd of liked him to have played a bit more but he didn't look like that much of a better option.
  2. :alexander: :whittaker: :wilson: :papac: :ssmith: :novo: :davis: :thomson: :lafferty: :boyd: Far from ideal. Obviously only if Thomson is fit enough, don't know who I'd put in instead. I'd rather not have Whittaker in there at all but we have no real back up in there. I'm not sure how we'll do with 2 left sided centre halfs?
  3. I thought he looked great with the ball at his feet. Doesn't lift his head enough though and seems to run into dead ends quite alot though. Still, he's only 24 so still has plenty of time to improve that.
  4. I would normally say Whittaker but he had such a bad game he'd have probably somehow scored an OG out of it. Im not upset at Davis hitting the pen, he had the balls to do it. I'll applaud anyone that stands up to take a penalty.
  5. Get Whittaker off. He's having a total stinker. He's a total liability.
  6. The critism of Rothen is way over the top. He should have tracked back a bit more but Whittakers totally inability to actually turn up for the game isnt making it any easier. His balls into the box have been great so far.
  7. This long punt will be the death of us. They are mopping it up with ease. As soon as we put the pressure on with pick passes and movement all over the place. I would say to the midfield just to get their foot on the ball but it just keeps getting booted over their head!
  8. Priorities..regaining the league..dead right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We already have the league Domesic success is the most important. I'd love us to really do well in europe and that really is he ultimate goal but until we have some finalcial stability winning he league and getting entry to the Champions League has to come first.
  9. shut up and piss off you wank. that anti-rangers shit is not welcome here Dont be such a fud. have you read the pish he is writing in other threads? if you had then you wouldn't say that. so read up on it before you dive in I have seen a few of his posts and all I see is you swearing at him and calling him a cunt. Its totally not needed. He supports Dynamo Moscow and I'm assuming he joined because they played Celtic. He's also not posting in the Bears Den so I dont see a problem.

  11. :mcgregor: :whittaker: :bougherra: :weir: :papac: :mendes: :thomson: :davis: :novo: :miller: To be honest, I'm just picking Thomson because I know what he can produce, but he's been pretty poor this season and was awful today.
  12. As been said, you can't underestimate them. They are pure guff though. Go out, show them no respect and play our own game and we'll win comfortably. Go out, back off and resort to long balls then anything from a lucky 1-0 to a loss.
  13. I couldn't believe that, fantastic break away from the defenders.. and should have passed. Boyd was going off his nut to get the ball to him and he just pokes it across the goal.. If anything i think Lafferty dissapeared more after Boyd went off, i didn't see him at all for that last part of the game. (Or Naismith). You musta missed the 2nd goal then. Naismith set it up. I dont understand how he can win so many headers. He was unchallanged for that one, but he seems to win them everytime and he's far from an imposing guy! I dont really know what formation we played once Miller came on. Lafferty and Naismith seems to just kinda hang about on the left, occasionally popping forward.
  14. He was horrible, hopefully that's due to the injury and the lack of match time When I saw he was being paired with Boyd today,I knew he would have a lousy game. Boyd has that effect on anyone paired with him. What a stupid comment. Lafferty was utter utter guff today. He had one chance of redemption when he managed to get out of the corner with the two guys by him only to scuff the ball across the face of goal. Boyd was pish today as well, but that had little effect on Laffertys inability to stay onside (he wasnt even close at times), his composure (mentioned above) and his rashness. He flys into challanges, studds up and very dangerously.
  15. I've given Papac alot of stick recently but he was head and shoulders above anyone else on that park today.
  16. The whole thing was a joke. They knew they wouldn't get away with it, they just appealed so he would be allowed to play agaisnt Aberdeen when McManus was injured and they only had 1 fit CB. The English FA hear appeals before the match is due to take place. Gordon Smith coming out and saying he can't do anything about the appeal situation in Scotland just sumed the whole thing up. Utter Incompetance.
  17. Someone made a fantastic point about good players tending to be poorer managers a while ago. The poorer players have to work more on the theory of the game. Their postitioning, where they want to be running to, etc. Therefore, when moving into management, have a greater understanding of what it takes to get the best out of players. The better players just done what they done on instinct and feel, so they don't really understand whats happening, they just do it. Obviously not true in all cases but I think there is something in that.
  18. In his 12 games he's used 78 different players. 78!
  19. Dont know what peoples opinions of him are but Dani Alves. Not even close to as good as I've heard people make out.
  20. 4 central midfielders of that calibre in the squad can only be a good thing. I don't think we'd need to sell one. It just provides good competition and an oppertunity for rotation. The biggest thing we've missed with Edu being out is his Athletisism. We just don't have players that are physically as strong and fit as he is. I remember seeing him in his first couple of games where he really wasnt up to speed. Kept holding onto the ball and losing it. Then suddently, one day, it all just seemed to click and he looked great!
  21. :mcgregor: :whittaker: :bougherra: :weir: :ssmith: :mendes: :thomson: :davis: :rothen: :lafferty: That or Miller in Lafferty's place and Lafferty in Rothens place.
