I'd much rather a quality player than a player who "gives his all" However, the players we have in our squad could do alot worse than following Broadfoots example. I think we have alot of players who just want to do enough. When Broadfoot first signed, he hired a sprint trainer and had extra training sessions with Weir to make him a better player. I just wish the 'quality' players in our team had a similar attitude.

I don't really agree with Alexander didn't deserve to be dropped... He didn't do much wrong but he's always been the 2nd keeper. McGregor's always been better. He's obviously shown in training etc. that whilst Alexander was in goals McGregor was showing he's capable of being better. I was against the descision to drop him in the beginning but I actually thought about it soon after and decided it was the right call IMO. Loyalty shouldn't really come into it, McGregor is the better keeper therefore should always be first pick. It's a shame for Alexander who was performing well but thats football! As regards to the poll, what a stupid time to post it. McGregor is currently performing to an unbelievable level! Some of his saves this season have been actually magical. Goram like. His distribution is actually better and his coming for cross balls isn't as bad as it once was.

He's a decent defensive option to have. He's better at CB than McCulloch and he'll provide decent competiton to Whittaker. I'd like to think he's no more than back up though.

To say that then go on to talk about Lafferty has to be a joke right? He doesnt bother turning up for the vast vast majority of games! So many times I've been watching a game and genuinely felt that Lafferty hasnt even touched the ball.

Chelsea have been exceptional so far and they will buy in January. Them winning the title depends on how well and how quickly their new signings can bed in.

Mendes is yet another one who has one good (half)game in 5. That is a luxury which we can't afford. It seems that unless he is playing raking cross field passes, neat first touch football and showboating in the final third of the park then people assume that he is having a bad game and it's utter nonesense His strength is knitting the play together and bringing other players into moves in the so called 'less dangerous' areas of the park and he does that to an acceptable standard every week. He was unfairly made a scrapegoat when he was in the side simply because he is "Pedro Mendes: Champions League Winner" We are missing him so much that it's almost scary. Never noticed this, near enough exactly what I was getting at.
