  1. Mendes is yet another one who has one good (half)game in 5. That is a luxury which we can't afford. Probably the biggest myth in football at the minute. Honestly, what do you expect from him? He's one of the very few players that is nearly always available for a pass, similary with Davis. Both of them understand the art of 'pass and move'. He's a defensive midfielder! His priority is winning the ball (which he is very good at) and starting off a move, which he does very well!
  2. I was willing to give Lafferty the benefit of the doubt, he looked to be coming onto a game at one point but my god he's rank. Ignoring the fact he shouldnt have even made the squad today, he was really very poor. I actually think even if Boyd had picked him out perfectly he still would have headed over from 2 feet. I aslo agree that he is a very dirty player, and his diving
  3. Flecks decision making is very poor in general, he really needs to work on that He looks lost on the ball sometimes I think thats down to the fact that our players dont understand off the ball movement!
  4. I actually take that back. Stuttgart, defensively, are shocking.
  5. Defensively Stuttgart arnt anything special. Miller might be offside 40 times in this game but only takes 1 well timed run and he's in.
  6. Terrible formation. We're so narrow at the back its unreal.
  7. If it is 3 at the back them im amazed it isnt Bougherra. I actually agree with not playing him, he needs to know you dont get away with shite like that. However, after dropping him it should be a 4-4-2. You need pace for a back 3, otherwise it'll just be a back 5.
  8. Its far more likely to be :mcgregor: :whittaker: :weir: :wilson: :papac: :davis: :mcculloch: :thomson: :lafferty: :miller: :boyd: I'd be shocked if we played that a 3-4-3, it just wont happen.
  9. What bone did you break? I broke my radius back at the end of September, and wanted to know if it will heal properly - doctor said he wasn't 100% sure if it would ever be as strong as it used to be No idea It may well have been my radius actually. By all accounts they usually heal fine, but thats what happened with me, its not as strong as it used to be. It was a clean break as well!
  10. I used to play alot as well. Used to be pretty good too! Done very well in the Scottish championships the first time I was able to play. Broke my wrist though, shouldnt have been a huge problem, few months off then back too it! But no. It never healed properly (I still blame the hospital, I swear they set the cast wrong) and its very very fragile. Still play now and then non-competitively.
  11. I agree with this. He practises far far more than anyone else so he deserves everything he gets. I'd rather see people try and get up to his standard than him give up.
  12. Just watching that Malaga - Zaragoza match. What a fucking disgrace. It's actually one of the worst displays of sportsmanship I've ever seen from Malaga. They are determined to get a player sent off. Downright cheating. Falling over, feigning injury at every oppertunity. Last minute, guys gets through the Zaragoza defence, lobs the Goalie. All he needs to do is run 5 yards and tap it in, but he throws him self to the ground! It would have won the game! I'd have smashed Apoño's face for that spitting. Thats totally out of order. He spat in the other guys mouth for fuck sake! If no retrospective action is taken the Spanish FA should be ashamed.
  13. Ladbrokes are saying they would have given 750/1!
  14. Bringing on Lafferty was the right call. He's far more likely to play a part on Tuesday than Fleck let alone little or ness so he needs game time.
  15. Remember when Billy Reid got manager of the Year when Smith had taken us to the UEFA Cup final??? Dont count on anything mate! To be fair, what does getting to the Uefa Cup Final got to do with the SPL? we did finish 2nd that season. Billy Reid's Hamilton didnt even PLAY in the SPL that season! Well, Scottish football then. If Celtic finished 2nd in the league, but got to the Uefa Cup final. Youd be screaming in rage that Strachan won Manager of the year. Im sure at the timing of the award Rangers were top of the league, had won the league cup, in the Scottish cup final and in the UEFA Cup final.
  16. Wilson played well, but Boyd was my MOTM. Thats probably the best performace I've seen from him.
  17. Keep up the pressure and get a couple more. Get Ness/Fleck/Little on second half! On a side note, good to see Little back!
  18. I know! He seems to be playing in the hole quite bit. Maybe the moustache turns him into a playmaker or something He played a similar postion against Dundee UTD at the end of last season, with Miller playing the furthest forward to run off defenders. It works really well!
