I agree; we have been promoting the youth structure dream for 20 plus years with very little return apart from two right backs and very few progressing to our first team. In reality we have been training youngsters for teams in all divisions to take on for free. I would love to think the philosophy will change and maybe Clement will blood youngsters and give regular starts but with our revolving door for managers who knows whether we will see that?

We could combine pyro and away allocation argument.For example, the club knows who and which supporter clubs were allocated Dundee tickets and should ban them from away allocations. Then deserving fans could get better chance of getting decent away games tickets and if lucky old firm games. Not that I have been jealous at those getting good away tickets

Surely he would look at the poor record that Rae has as a coach and say no. If not he is not strong enough to be our manager. I do not know if Davi’s has done any coaching but he seems to be a fixture.

The role is overstated nowadays, our successful captains have been in successful teams which were successful because of the quality in the team. Our great captains in the past would be powerless now and make not a jot of difference to our present plodders. Man City are the most successful side recently and their captain for the pst few years was the quietist, least in your face character. I see people suggesting the role should be given to a goalkeeper which more or less puts the leadership idea to bed.

I really do not understand why people think changing the captaincy will make any difference to the ability that is lacking in this squad. I do not care who is the captain it is the overall quality in the squad that is lacking and to be honest I would only keep four players from it .

What was the tactic talk once they went down to ten men? Bring the game down to walking pace, let them sit back and get organised, pass the ball back and sideways as often as possible. We need to up the tempo, start moving into space and pull them about. We cannot afford to stick at 1 - 0 and hope that they will not get a set piece.

Yes and suddenly Dessers will learn the offside rule, be able to control the ball, find a burst of pace and become a striker. Lammers will be able to pass to a team mate. Our midfield will magically challenge for the ball and try to stop opponents walking past them.
