Worrall is the main reason I'm questioning Gerrard now. This lad is on loan, consistently makes mistakes yet is one the first picks. And Goldson is far better.

Think the OP is bang on. Players shoe horned in. It nullified our two most threatening players in Morelos and Kent which was plain to see from early on. I don't blame Gerrard for trying it but he should have changed things in the first half.
The two at the back were just as shite. Katic before Worral all day long.
Lessons have to be learned.

Good point to be honest. We have been playing 3 cdm for weeks and seeing the same pish. Surely someone in the youth set up is capable of playing a forward pass.

We don't have the players in the middle of the park. They are all very limited, frightened to make a forward pass or have a pop at goal. Got what we deserved.

Can't really disagree. The window closed and we had 4 very similar sitting midsfielders. Murphy was already out and I'm convinced he knew Sadiq wasn't good enough.
Grezda failing to impress has really compounded the problem but we were always an injury or two away from having no attacking options.
