Everybody thought Sneijder at the World Cup was incredible because of his goal tally. They forget the fact that he was credited with a clear Felipe Melo own goal, a shot which hit off an offside Van Persie and went in and a shot which the Japan keeper somehow fucking palmed into his own net. Özil is the highest rated player at Madrid after Ronaldo. I don't know what Mourinho has said in regards to Di Maria but he's said plenty about Özil. Besides, Özil is a better footballer than Angel Di Maria regardless of favouritism from a coach/fans.

Özil is better than Schweinsteiger and Nasri. He's a totally different player from Xabi Alonso. Definitely a more talented footballer. He's so similar to Iniesta and a good bit younger. I'd say he's better than Sneijder as well, but that's just my opinion. Sneijder suffers from a little thing called 'The Ronaldo Syndrome'.

I know it's controversial but who's better than Özil outside of Barcelona? Fabregas is the only one I can think of but he's done nothing since last season apart from lie on the physio table.
