  1. That was under Advocaat. Also did it with McCinnes at home to PSV and worked a treat.
  2. To be fair to him. He wasn't the worst today. I thought in the first half he was the only one that looked like making something happen for us. He's defo not good enough to be a Rangers player but the buck stops with Ally here. The way he set the team out is a disgrace. Playing 1 up front against Raith Rovers is a joke. I don't mind 1 up top if it's played correctly with the right players supporting but it was just a case of get the ball out of our half and then lump it into Daly. No attempts to get to the bye line to get decent crosses in or balls down the channels trying to find the spaces. Ally should see out this season and then hand in his notice. If he wins the Scottish cup that would be the perfect send off for all parties. Surely he knows himself that he is not good enough at football management to be the Rangers manager.
  3. Tugay was a class act with us as well. He strolled every game. I'm pretty sure he was the fans player of the year in the full season he was there. He would be my choice as well.
  4. Red star Belgrade were called Crvena Zvezda the last time we played them in 2007. http://espnfc.com/match?id=226368&cc=null
  5. Crvena Zvezda is another one.
  6. This is very true. I still don't think Ally is the right man for us long term all the same. I also think that there's a very fine line between players who go on to have a career playing in the Top league and one who has a career playing in the lower leagues. A lot of guys for different reasons just don't cut it at the top. Lack of commitment rather than a lack of ability is more often the reason. So on their day some of these players are able to lift their games when they meet us.
  7. I seem him walking down Buchannan St wearing a pair of UGG boots. So for that alone he can fuck off.
  8. It's not really bailing out the mistakes of the past as such. It's £1.5 million ffs. We've got SPL quality players playing in League 1. We don't need to go out and spend millions to improve the team for next season. Look at it like they've got these players in a year early and given them a chance to gel for the assault on the championship next season. It makes sense. I actually think our playing budget and overall wages next year could be less than this year. As long as we get rid of all the dead wood and bring in a few better players that will improve the team. If you consider the pay offs to players last year and also the managers salary being cut and probably cuts right across the board then £1.5 is feck all. Calm down, support the team and let the guys get on with what they're doing.
  9. Aye maybe so but let them try and convince. People making up all these non stories and trying to cause unrest. Don't do us any favours. The fact that Rangers fans are jumping on it and believing all this shite makes it worse. Give the guys a chance to sort things out.
  10. £1.5 million in football terms is nothing. Don't know why people are getting so worked up about it. Just leave them to it, I'm sure they'll have a longer term plan and it will all even out over time. Adding £40 or £50 onto season tickets next season alone would make this sum back. Everyone calm down and let them get on with it.
  11. That flag was a belter. Is it still on the go? Last time I seen it was years ago at the piggery and the stewards started grabbing and ripping it.
  12. Never been to it but heard its a bit of a dive?
  13. He's a right good bear as well. Get him signed.
  14. The Mark Walters one was my first Rangers strip. Classic. Would say that the 92/93 Adidas Equipment was my favourite. Just looking at it brings back great memories.
  15. The Metro bank next to me is open 363 days a year. Pretty impressive service. Apart from that its a lovely big Red, White and Blue sign.
  16. I don't even understand why there's talk of us possibly going into admin? Most other football clubs have millions of pounds worth of debt. As far as I know we have no debt whatsoever? If we have enough to tide us over till the summer then season ticket sales at an increased price, new kits and merchandise surely would be enough to get us through the next phase.
  17. Almost half have never played first team football so over half of them have played first team football? Throw them in at the deep end by sticking them on the bench against a part time team?? Are you having a laugh!
  18. Agree with Ally about the players. They signed the contracts in good faith and shouldn't be forced into taking cuts. From reading Wallace's Q & A it doesn't seem as if he was trying to force them. Just putting the feelers out to see if it would be an option is the impression he gives. Ally saying he has his own ideas who is responsible but would rather not say is pretty poor though. Why even say that? It's jus generating more hysteria. Who is it he blames? Is he having a go at Green? Was it not Mathers who sanctioned all the latest signings in the summer and Ally who wanted to bring all these players in?
  19. He was the best passer of a ball in the team. 2 great feet!!
  20. Brilliant watching that video. Was at that final as well. Great memories! Caniggia was class. Mad to think he played with Dundee before coming to us. How Scottish football has fallen. Big Eck got alot of stick in his time as manager but when you think that he had to make massive cuts from the squad he inherited and he still gave us some of the best memories you will ever have supporting Rangers.
  21. I'm currently living round the corner from Stamford Bridge so became a Chelsea member and I've been to quite a few games this season. Also been to the Emirates, Craven Cottage and pretty much most of the London grounds recently. Not a bad substitute for now while I'm down here.
  22. Goram Hutton Gough Weir Robertson B. Ferguson McCall Durrant Durie McCoist Cooper
  23. As much as it annoys me to say it, we need to find a guy similar to John Park. Since they've had him they've been on a different level finding good young talent from across the world and selling on for a profit. Take Wanyama just for one example. They paid buttons for a young Kenyan with potential. Gave him a chance, nurtured him and sold him on for a fortune a couple of years later. The profit they made on him would pay their whole scouting network for years and years to come.
