  1. So what? I'm entitled to my opinion and IMO he just fills me with zero confidence when he plays. I've never really got what he does and now he is pushing the wrong side of 33/34 I find it staggering that he can still find a way into the Ranger first team. Check these boards mate. I'm not exactly flying solo on this one
  2. How do you know how the rest of the game would have panned out if we had scored?
  3. Of course it would be but goals change games. It was early enough in the game and if we had scored from the pen we might have settled down to play a bit of football as opposed to going feeking route 1
  4. Just forced myself to watch the highlights from yersterday on the BBC and I don't want to sound like a Mhank but how the feek did Aluko not get a penalty on sunday? About 1 minute 14 seconds in http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/scotland/15912049.stm The Killie defender nearly halves him in two FFs. Considering the pen we got at ICT when Goian tumbled this is a stone waller IMO
  5. I get the impression that Ally might have had a 4-3-3 system (with full backs providing the width) in mind at some stage? Why else would he spend a pretty penny on Wallace, a player that was more reknowned for galloping forward as apposed to defending
  6. After yesterday and the last 5/6 games I must admit I find it hard to get too fussed about the merits of our club mascot Broxi....
  7. Agree wholeheartedly regarding the myth of a tough tackling midfielder. We need creativity not muscle at the mo. Here's a novel idea, instead of a tough tackling midfielder maybe our manager will will adopt a playing style that outpasses the oppositions midfield. Edu, Davis, Mckay and hopefully Ness should be utilised in the middle of the park. I worry about our manager TBH. If Ally had not realised that McCulloch suffocates us well before the game on sunday I genuinely have to start questioning his creditionals as a manager to take us forward
  8. Charlie Miller is the only one we brought through from that list. Ian Ferguson might have been young but we signed as a first team player after he came throught the ranks at St. Mirren. Dave McPherson was brought through in the early to mid 80's then was sold to Hearts and then came back to Rangers as a first team pick in the early 90's
  9. I'm right behind McCoist but the re-introduction of Lee McCulloch today against a team that had shipped 9 goals in their last 2 home games was unforgivable. If we were down to the bare bones I could understand it (maybe) but there were better attacking options today
  10. Yes but with guys like Davis, we know he can be far better than he shows so we have to keep playing him until he finds form. Guys like McCulloch don't have anyhting else to offer. He doesn't do "form"
  11. The biggest myth about McCulloch is that he offers "dig". If dig means being 5 yards behind the play, lunging into tackles and generally fouling everytime he goes near the opposition then I wish we would redefine the word. There is only word to describe McCulloch and it's not dig. It's "liability". If he plays in the run up to the next OF game and in the actual game itself I fear for our season and genuinely would question our managers sanity
  12. Breaking news on Sky. Lee McCulloch has admitted to owning pictures of Ally and Walter in comprimising position.... Let's face it, that's the only way this guy is getting picked. And to think we turned down 1.5 million from Stoke a few years ago....deary me
  13. It's been that way for about 10 years. Wee Barry was the master of the high pointless floater and then Kevin Thomson inherited his mantle before handing it over to Davis. Fair enough if we had a team of giants but we are pretty average in that Dept. Every player should practice fast crosses that are aimed at the space between the keeper and the striker
  14. McKay must be thinking "WTF" at the moment after watching McCulloch get the nod ahead of him
  15. I'm worried about his tactics, not his tash
  16. Boyd would be something for Jela to work with? Jelavic needs footballers around him. That leaves Boyd out of the equation
  17. I hated his style of play at Wigan and couldn't believe we signed him back then. How the feek he has managed to engineer this holding role from the ashes of being an average one dimensional front player who wins the odd diagonal ball beggers belief TBH
  18. Agree with you regarding Edu. He was coming onto a game and all of a sudden The Enforcer returns and Edu is dragged all over the place to accomodate him. With regards the midfield in general, I really want to see McKay in the middle over a period of games. Even if it means shunting Davis out right or going with a narrow 4-3-3 and using the full backs as a "weapon". I presume Ally had something like this in mind as he bought Wallace for a decent fee
  19. So does 40,000 others I bet. Lee McCulloch must have something on Walter Smith and Ally McCoist. If an idiot like me can see that we are a better team wihtout him I struggle to fathom why he constantly gets a shirt
  20. McKay is not a left winger. He's a central midfielder that just happens to kick with his left foot
  21. It's also no coincidence that Edu has looked poor again after finding a wee bit of form. I wonder why?
  22. Did anyone esle think that today (when Laff got crcoked) was the perfect opportunity for Fleck? As much as I hope the boy Hemmings will do well, we needed a player that was going to link the "midfield" with a very frustrated and isolated Jelavic.
  23. Never play Lee McCulloch again His inclusion sends out a totally negative mindset IMO.
  24. I have mixed feelings about the effect that Naismith's absence has had on the team. Since his departure you would get the impression that we were playing amazing football when he was in the team. Other than a great 2nd half V Celltic and some good moments V a very poor Dunfermline side we have been very avergae this season. I know we have been winning but it's been hard to get too excited about how we've playing TBH
