After this weeks debacle in Europe surely it is time for Rangers and Scottish football as a whole to take a good long look at its self.What astounded me about the past few weeks European games the most was how even far inferior teams to us look so much better technicaly,first touch,movement,third man running and general football intelegance.I remember watching an interview with Ross mathie the head of our young international teams,he said that he doubted if xavi,iniesta and messi would have made it through our youth setups,absolutely astounding,is it now time for us as a club to take it on ourselves to change this mentality of big strong players of limited ability to concentrating on football ability first and foremost,because you can make someone an athlete but you cant give them natural ability.The aim for us should be to have a team of homegrown players supplemented by a few foreign players with real quality.
