  1. Yes, but if there was an takeover offer right now I´d guess we´d look at summat like £80m..
  2. If there´s a big guy out there hoovering up shares he would instruct his brokers to do it piecemeal to avoid the shares skyrocketing, As for the sellers they are most likely among the original investors or there´s a "wash" going on (Institutions buying and selling among themselves driving the price upwards). I can imagine a scenario where many of the original investors have sold most of their shares at a nice profit while we´ll find ourselves with a few bigger shareholders, a lot of smaller holdings among fans and some institutions holding the corner position.
  3. It´s the Arms of the City and Royal Burgh of Elgin http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Arms_of_Elgin.jpg
  4. I might be wrong but I think the safety regulations (and HRMC) force clubs to count tickets sold as attendance.
  5. No, can´t see that happening..They will just pay some bills when the game is sold out.
  6. Mentioned the share price to a Dutch friend of mine that is heavily into the stockmarket (Daytrader) and he asked about the Rangers setup (debts, turnover, profit&loss etc) and he suggested that the 70p opening price was a bit low just to attract the Institutional investors. Doesn´t hurt that we must be at our lowest point and despite that are debtfree, got money in the bank and are profitable of course. While we as Champions lately was heavily in debt, never had money and made huge losses
  7. Merry Christmas everyone, on reflection I feel a certain happiness about how we as a club finally seems to have turned a corner..and that´s the one pressie i wanted for real
  8. Jeez..He plays the media well nowadays Merry Christmas Charles, have a lemonade on me
  9. Tickets sold = Reported attendance Fans attending = Any number below tickets sold
  10. What about us trying to enter the Nextgen competition? Basically it´s a kind of Champions league competition for youngsters sanctioned by Uefa and would give us the advantage of A) Blooding our youngsters aginst top competition B) Add some glamour ties to our schedule, at least at youth level Also It irks me that our neighbours take part but not us. http://www.nextgenseries.com/en/Clubs
  11. There´s always the opportunity to buy in the open market later..
  12. I know that people tend to buy shares in their clubs more for fun than profit but a guy I spoke to in a pub (honestly!) said that clubs in Germany or at least some clubs, or club, Sold bonds to their fans to help finance building a new stadium. It was no big money bonds either but plenty of them paying a small interest as usual every year, Got me thinking if it was possible for us?
  13. I honestly feel that whenever we find ourselves back in the top tier we will have a lot of youngsters used to attending games that we might have missed if we had stayed in the SPL. Stadium capacity is a concern for sure.
  14. Manchester City will expand their stadium soon enough..a mate of mine is working for BAM that handles a lot of MCFC building requests. Man City have bought huge tracts of land in East Manchester, just the new youth academy/training centre will cover 80 acres and hold a 7k seater stadium as well.
  15. Plenty of funny stuff if you look for it, in particular ín France
  16. Given that the Freemasons in their various mutations developed into the most virulant anti-RC force on the continent during centuries..and created the blueprint for most lodges we see today.
  17. The question for the former Rangers shareholders must of course be if they can sue anyone for losses made by premature punishments?
  18. You can sign a player but not register him during the embargo I think...The same procedure as during a normal transfer window.
  19. Which is more than you can say about several places in the UK. Sometimes I wonder if the empire ever was lost. We just sort of took it home with us when we left like that straw donkey from spain that was a must buy when drunk.
  20. Just saw it on fullkitwankers..Couldn´t resist
  21. Funny timing, with the talks about the EPL implementing a kind of homegrown FFPR there´s increased speculation about the effect of the parachute payments that might make the EPL a closed shop. There´s a clique lead by Randy Lerner that are all for making it a closed shop for real. Is an american style league a possibility? Based in the UK perhaps and endorsed by SKY?
  22. Exactly, as the shares are floated anyone can buy what amount of shares they can afford..
