In "Ruhrpott" the big two are Schalke04 and Borussia Dortmund.. But there´s plenty of interesting minor clubs like Bochum, RW Essen and Duisburg as well
I might get this wrong but they where a third division team until a young and talented coach/shoe salesman named Sacchi took over as manager and led them to glory.
As the financial meltdown hit Parmalat he left for AC Milan where he created a truly legendary team that ruled Europe at the time.
We burn £1.2-£1.5M per month... Spank me with a kipper and call me Charlie!!! That´s even worse than I imagined, and I have imagined it being pretty bad.. So at the moment the club is a £15-18m a year bonfire burning money and people will no doubt expect things to become better soon.
I found myself speculating on how much a total replacement of all our first team players would cost us.. and how long until they would start to perform
Amazing how bad things can get.. Unless the current or coming top brass commits something like £10m to get rid of and replacing current and former managers, coaches, players etc we might as well refrain from getting promoted at all
Give people a reason to come back, and they will come back.. But unless there´s a buzz around the club you can forget it.
