  1. I would not feel safe with Gomis as our "DM" saying that I don't feel safe with McCulloch just now. I'm a fan of Edu tbh, but don't get me wrong he is nothing special. If he was to cut out wanting so much time on the ball he would be a good player for us. I think he has proved in CL, World cup that he has ability to be a decent player for us. Very true. Surely he works on his weaker foot though? I can't see him making it at a top level being so predictable. I want to see more of his movement on the left when he set up Miller at Easter Road. He has the ability to beat a defender and get into the box... but the last few weeks Vlad seems to cut inside so early to make a cross that has not been working outside Miller's goal at weekend.
  2. ^^^^ This Not sure why these "kids" at clubs like Chelsea/Liverpool/United/Arsenal get so highly rated as most the time they are pretty average.
  3. Yes because our squad is so big and so "great" that we should walk over teams like Dundee United away from home with ease especially after one the hardest CL games we could have days before
  4. Templeton has the confidence to take a player on unlike majority of our players. Everyone seems to think Weiss is this great player, not sure how many people actually watch him every week... but he is predictable(always cuts inside) and his distribution is pretty poor majority of the time. I'm not saying go and sign Templeton or he will turn out to be a very good player but out of the 'so called' good young wingers that have been in the SPL recently such as Weiss, Forrest, McGinn, McGeady, Driver, Fleck, Wylde he looks to have the most ability, imo. Always rated Wallace since I seen him for Scotland under's making the final and performing very well against the likes of Spain, would take him as Papac's replacement in a heartbeat, each to their own though. You stated you would rather sign quality, then used the name Gomis? DU is his level.
  5. Read some Hearts fans saying they would expect £4 million for Templeton, lol. I'm very surprised we never got McArthur as he would have been a good signing. Lee Wallace for left back? Always been impressed with the boy but would cost about £2 million that we probably don't have.
  6. 5 away games after CL matches this season. Suppose we can't complain as we have had 5 home fixtures after our last 12 CL games. Celtic, Hibs and DU being three of them.
  7. Izaguirre is certainly much better going forward than defending, he has a better cross than Sasa but alround game I prefer Papac. Don't even get me started on Whittaker as his defending and distribution is woeful majority of the time. Don't won't to go off topic or get into a debate over Cashley but I have stated for a while that his defensive game is nowhere near as good as made out, been suspect a few times this years, lol at him yesterday. I used to think Evra was much better in defending than Cole but this season he has been pretty dire. I prefer Capdevilla, Lahm and Maxwell defensively tbh.
  8. Yeh we had a hard run in September/October with United away, Hearts, Aberdeen, Dundee United etc. The main difference we had a much stronger squad at the time and they looked more fitter. The last few games combined with injuries we have looked shaky. That is why I believe it's a tricky run of 6 games, but I agree that any game in the SPL should be winnable for us.
  9. Kilmarnock away - Been on a good run since we defeated them in the cup, won three games on the trot 3-0 with good wins at Hearts/St Johnstone. Got a point at Tannadice at the weekend. A scrappy 1-0 win would do me. Man United home - I honestly do not rate this United team highly. If we play the way we did against Hibs we would lose, if we turn up like Valencia I think we could get a victory. A good performance will be respectable. Dundee United away - Always a tough place to go nevermind after a Scotland/England CL game. This is the most tricky game out the six. Believe we could struggle, obviously we will go and want the win but a draw might not be the worst thing. Hearts home - Nothing other than three points here. Bursaspor away - If we can't make the last 16 and have already qualified for Europa League would people mind us playing a weaker team? Could help us in the long run. We always seem to struggle against the smaller teams in Europe. I would not be too disappointed with a defeat if European football after Xmas is certain. Inverness - A bit of a dodgy team for us, we owe them a defeat for taking two points off us at Ibrox. A win no matter how it comes by is essential. 10 points out of 12 and and European football after xmas would be acceptable. Hopefully it's 6 wins out of 6
  10. Messi's comments about us were much worse Lionel should have used the same comments towards Inter/United/Chelsea against Barcelona.
  11. We have a hard period of games in the next 3/4 weeks especially with our squad that gets thinner per week. Jelavic, Edu, Webster(as per usual), Beattie, Weiss, Broadfoot, Papac all nursing injuries at the moment. I wonder if the likes of Foster, Kerkar, Wylde, Fleck and Hutton will get more playing time in the next few weeks. 20 Sat 12:00 A Kilmarnock 24 Wed 19:45 H Man Utd 28 Sun 12:00 A Dundee United December 4 Sat 15:00 H Hearts 7 Tue 19:45 A Bursaspor 11 Sat 12:45 A Inverness CT What would be a respectable set of results in these next six matches?
  12. Smalling looks inept at defending and was woeful against Wolves. Nowhere near good enough for Man United or England.
  13. Never been too impressed with the lad especially when you compare him with the likes of Wilshere/Ramsey who look technically gifted. Think he has a long way to go to even be a regular for club around 4-8 place in EPL, certainly needs to score and provide more goals. He played well yesterday but was 5 or so who were better for Sunderland. Sunderland have not been that good this season and he has not stood out, imo.
  14. Our best display in the SPL? I would say so. That day we had a midfield four of Weiss, Davis, Edu and Naismith which IMO should be our four every week. I know there seems to be a bit of heat towards Edu on here but for me he is much better than McCulloch.
  15. Totally agree. Another young player who scores a couple of goals and is the new goldenboy. I don't think he will ever become world class personally. LOl @ Rafa, get him out and get Hiddink in asap.
  16. Ki, Ledley, Brown does it really matter? Three average players.
  17. You think so? Not so sure myself, think the lad is getting way over hyped. In the big games against a decent player he has looked weak ie Rangers/Hearts. Templeton ripped him last week. Anyone else think we should try get Wilson back on loan for rest of the season? Not getting a look in and would be good cover since Webster is never fit for us.
  18. Thankfully Bougherra only travels to Luxembourg instead of Africa. I don't dislike International football but hate these pointless friendlies. Three good matches on Wednesday though.... Argentina vs Brazil, England vs France and Portugal vs Spain will be worth watching. Club Football > International Football.
  19. Not played the campaign mode at all yet. MW2 was my first Call of Duty game and I only did a few campaign level's with that game. I just love to get straight into the online modes.
  20. I can't see him getting near the Man Shitty job tbh. Although I do believe Walter will have a few offers on the table. I have this feeling Walter might fancy a challenge abroad. Would love to see him become Scotland manager again if he does leave us
  21. Burley is one of the better commentators about just now, actually find him honest for being ex scum. My mother and others think he is pro Celitc and anti Rangers, I don't see it myself. Enjoy his thoughts on the different league's in Europe. Imagine having Shearer or Hansen during 90 minutes.
