  1. Imagine how good France would be if Ribery was playing.
  2. I would agree with that, the second tier of best teams Barry could have held his own.
  3. Anybody watching this Sweden vs Germany game? Woeful, not 1 shot on target after 30 minutes. England game it is.
  4. Reading your posts I have been agreeing with majority of them, however think you are going slightly OTT with the final sentence. Barry was not good enough to play for the big clubs like Real, Barca, AC, Inter etc.
  5. Really? Surely that was bollocks journalism?? I'm glad he is staying with Aberdeen because he is shit and they will get weaker every season. Would love to see them get relegated this season.
  6. Lol, must have been mate. Was some decent play in the middle of the park at times from Ronaldinho and Messi, but the final ball most of the time was pretty poor for so many talented players. Was not many chances created by either side and a draw probably would have been the fair result.
  7. Great reply mate. Barry Ferguson is one of those players that will have differing opinions, certain people underrate him whilst others overate his ability. A fantastic player, Rangers legend?? Debatable.
  8. Still don't get how the likes of Barry, Walcott and Lescott get playing time for England. French team... 1 Hugo Lloris 5 Philippe Mexes 4 Adil Rami 22 Eric Abidal 2 Bacary Sagna 17 Yann M'Vila 8 Yoann Gourcuff 11 Samir Nasri 15 Florent Malouda 9 Karim Benzema 21 Mathieu Valbuena
  9. Same player mate, think he is about 39/40 years of age. Must be close to 150 caps, lol.
  10. On his day he is a very good player, but he blows hot and cold. Very similar to Saviola.
  11. Predictions are different now from the start of the season. Spl - Rangers Premiership- Chelsea Seria A - AC Milan La liga - Barcelona Bundesliga - Dortmund CL - Barcelona Europa league - Depends who drops down from CL groups.
  12. Awful through ball attempt from Pastore when Argentina were basically in, had a very quiet game just like Neymar(so far)
  13. Totally disagree. Palermo and Pastore have not been too good this season. They have lost numerous games this year and he has failed to shine. Had a good game at the weekend against an average Catania team, the week before he was awful against Milan and rightly subbed early on. He has failed to deliver in Europa League and against both Milan clubs, nowhere near ready for Barcelona. Has potential but needs to add more goals and create more for his team mates.
  14. Sooner Riquelme is back for Argentina the better as they miss that creative spark in the midfield area. Too bad his career is at the latter stages Higuain badly needs to work on his hold up play and passing.
  15. Team is far too attacking...does not have the correct balance, good team on paper but would get found out defensively. Only Puyol and Pique are defensive minded players and even Pique likes to go forward. If you watch Barcelona regularly you will see their foundations and success come through having a holding player mopping up such as Busquets/Toure. The left back is nowhere near as offensive as Daniel Alves on the right and if it's Maxwell, Adriano or Abidal they are more conservative. Bale was woeful at left back and left wing is clearly his position, I don't think he would fit in at Barcelona at all with their current system. Iniesta needs to be more forward, don't think Pastore is ready to play for a big club yet. I am a massive fan of Llorente but I don't think he is suited to Barcelona's style, Villa is the perfect striker for that role and for me he should be there as he is the best striker in the world. I believe Barcelona have the perfect starting 11 with the system they use due to the balance Alves, Busquets and Maxwell give them. Pedro would possibly get replaced but I think himself and Messi have an excellent connection and are perfect for each other's game. Valdes Alves Puyol Pique Maxwell Busquets Xavi Iniesta Messi Villa Pedro
  16. Argentina: Romero; Zanetti, Pareja, Burdisso, Heinze; Banega, Mascherano, Pastore, Messi; Higuaín, Di María. Brazil: Victor; Dani Alves, Thiago Silva, David Luiz, André Santos; Lucas, Ramires, Elias; Ronaldinho, Neymar, Robinho. Two strong teams, think Argentina's is a bit stronger but Brazil have started better.
  17. The poorest thing about the new COD is the amount of sponging that occurs, ie as said above you need to put numerous bullets into the other player before he dies. MW2 was the first Call of Duty I purchased...at first I played core SND and Demolition, when I started playing Hardcore I realised how people sponge in the game especially French, Italian and Spanish. I hate core now and was gutted I had to play through it at first but even on Hardcore I have noticed many people take extra bullets more than hardcore matches on MW2. Nothing worse than seeing some French Frog that you put half a clip into for him to hit you with one bullet and you die.
  18. I would prefer we signed players who are naturally gifted in one position rather than making a squad up of "adaptable" footballers.
  19. Have the same feeling. Naismith and Bougherra have a problem with the constant moaning towards refs, they need to cut it out asap because it's unacceptable and will cost us sometime this season. Remember Bougherra getting sent-off at Motherwell within 30 seconds due to complaining? Still not cut it out of his game.
  20. Fair enough reading your post that was the impression I got. I would not say he was shit, might have made the comment in the past but obviously I would be taking bollocks, not good enough for United though.
