Thought 4-3-3 worked really well today, long time since our midfield has dominated a game so much with Ness outstanding. Been touting 4-3-3 for a while, much more flexible with Naismith given virtually a free role off the right to support Jelavic although need something more from the left as Ortiz is clearly not a left winger. Get the boy McKay in beside Ness n Davis, a left winger (Bedoya) and another CB and dont think were a million miles off. One or 2 loan signings to fill out the squad a bit and things could be looking up a little

Ye exactly, i obviously dont see much of them but he was linked with Liverpool too yet he cant get a game for them ahead of that tit Brown. Always looks tidy enough but certainly not an £8m player.

More realistic although the only thing i would say to counter this is that the boy Ki from Celtic was today linked with an £8m move to Spurs. I mean, hes squad player who cant get in the team unless Broon is suspended so if hes worth £8m (granted, according to the press) WTF is Davis or Naismith worth????

They just bought a keeper from Genk for about £8m then sent him straight to Athletico Madrid on loan so its not as unlikely as you think.

We have been blinkered to creative players for years in favour of guys with more dig rather than actual footballing ability, its a real thorn in our side i think, especially when we see creative former players, who where hounded out, moving for £10m. We should have one ball winner surrounded by creative football players in midfield. At the moment we dont have a ball winner and our most creative player, Davis is getting bogged down doing the work of the other doos in our midfield.

This is something we should be doing more! We would all love us to sign big name players with big reputations but with that comes big transfer fees n big wages. We need to be exploring lesser leagues for there best talent, i mean who had heard of Kayal or Izaguirre before they came to Scotland? Only thing that worries me is that hes nearly 29 so no sell on value but lets give the guy a chance, he cant be worse than Edu

He has to be a better option on the left than Ortiz. Hes so predictable, although i think he needs to be played on the right to get a proper opinion. Heard myself it was something to do with Wyldes contract situation although i find that hard to believe when we have had other players in that situation who have still played. Decent player but really needs to work on his distribution if he wants to progress!

No reason why not, he could do the job but you know aswell as i do that Ally will always play McCulloch and/or Edu. I think McCulloch is the lesser of 2 evils and at least has the dig required to get the ball back to the football players!

Really impressed with a few of the youngsters today, McMillan, Hutton and also Perry and Bendiksen when they came on. Showed up there more experienced team-mates, especially in the second half against a very strong Chelsea side. Looking bright for the future and great to see Ness back in action Would also really like to see Fleck get a run in midfield alongside Davis, possibly in a 4-3-3 with McCulloch behind (until we get someone better) with Naismith and A.N Other either side of Jelavic. Think this could work and give Davis a bit of a creative hand in midfield as hes getting bogged down with expectation to constantly create something. Fleck really has something and showed he could work well behinf Jelavic in a few games last season. Could be a solution at least until we get another striker in and/or Lafferty gets fit. Also, not seen anything to suggest that Ortiz is anything more than a decent squad player!

Wow man the paranoia on here at times is fucking ridiculous, not allowed an opinion unless you have 10,000 posts of licking other peoples arses! Everything the guy says is pretty much true, no subs until 83 mins with 9 men on the field beggars belief. Ortiz looked fucked, we where crying out for some pace considering we where playing on the counter the minute Whittaker gets sent off. I like Hemmings but surely Wylde would have been a better option. Didnt think we played to badly under the circumstances, the ref being a complete wank, lets face it Shaggers hardly made a save and Jelavic n Naismith have missed sitters so we could have been talking about a heroic performance rather than a dismal defeat, thats the fine lines we play under. Ally has to be his own man though n stop mimicking Smith, the no subs shit really frustrated me under Walter, subs have to be given a chance to make an impression, especially when everyone else can see certain players either arent up to the job or are dead on there feet! My biggest fear is Whyte was banking on getting in the CL before opening the cheque book, just hope this doesnt mean he slams it shut cos we clearly need at least another 4 players!
