I think he more than deserves a new contract, a crucial player, can play virtually anywhere, gets forward when required, scores goals and then slips into CB n looks like hes played there for years, what more can you ask of the guy? Some people got very short memories

I know we never got his best years but Souness is right up there with the best CMs this country has produced. As for Souness getting involved at board level, hes a good public figure who certainly wouldnt take any shit from the likes of Reid n Liewell but not sure how qualified he is as far as chief exec. etc is concerned. Also, wasnt his n Super Allys relationship pretty strained so might not go down to well.

I think we have to be realistic and realise that the players you mention ARE about the level we can go for. I think we could do much worse than them, especially the likes of Hamed, Vaughan and Conway who are available on Bosmans, if only to bulk up the squad a bit then that way we can concentrate the spending on 1st team players. The boy Pratley is another on a free who would be a good addition. Wouldnt fancy Burke back tbh, he never really does it for me although i suppose as cover you couldnt go wrong. As for who we actually buy, in the current climate we are being priced out of Championship players never mind PL so unless we go further down the English League we really need to cast the net far and wide. This is where Bomber and Murray will have to earn there corn. Although it pains me to say it, Celtic are a step ahead of us in this context and have been for a while, picking up some good players for decent prices and of course good sell on values. We MUST catch up with them as there is commercial gains also, especially in the Asian market so we need to tap into this. We need a minimum of 6 players i reckon as we have lost 5 loan players plus Weir, if he retires. I say plunder as many Bosmans as possible and that way it frees up the cash to be spent on a few top class players from abroad. Fingers crossed

i would take Miller back as long as its for the same fee we got for him. Morrison will be out our league IMO, would take him in a heartbeat but dont see it happening. We need minimum 5 or 6 players to bulk up the squad a bit. If we can get a few Bosmans in, ie Vaughan, Conway etc, then hopefully that means we can spend a bit more on quality players to go straight into the team, particularly a top notch CB and possibly another creative left sided player

Excellent player, liked him since his Villa days but really became a player at Brum. If he leaves them id expect he will have his pick from a few teams in the PL and the transfer fee will be upwards of £4m. Love it if we could get him though
