Im not some sort of visioinary but IMO anyone with a football brain could see Charlie Adam had something, not at left wing but exactly where he plays now. Fleck from the same mould and can see the same future for him too due to our "fear of flair" as the OP puts it. Yes there clearly is but IMO it stems from the majority of the support. I remember watching Charlie Adam a few years ago n thinking, this guys got something different to offer us yet everyone around was shouting "fuck sake Charlie cut out the fancy shit"! Look at him now. Same has happened since with Weiss and also Fleck simply cos they try something a little different now n again, they get totally slated from sections of the crowd. Embarrasing actually!!!!!

Totally agree, no player should EVER get that sort of abuse from there own support. Hes far from my favourite player as i dont think hes good enough but today, if he plays, he will get my %1oo backing. I remember the abuse Charlie Adam used to get and just look at him now.

Been hard to judge him as he is clearly not a left winger, would like to see him played on the right to get a better opinion but from the evidence so far looks no better than a squad player, IMO!

Id be pretty happy if this was our starting XI but i think this should always be our formation, regardless who the opposition, really flexible and can become a 5 accross the middle if required without to much tinkering of players!

What i dont get is we played 4-3-3 against ICT and absolutely dominated in midfield, something we rarely do to teams even in the SPL, yet we revert back to type with what must be the worst CM pairing in many, many years. Im just praying that once McKay comes in, he will play in a 3 with Ness and Davis and wont be shunted wide left to accomodate one of the dangerous brothers.

Ye the squad is stronger but still think we need another striker and a real creative influence from the left hand side, perhaps a Weiss? Possibly another CB also cos dont fancy relying on Broadfoot, McCulloch or Edu as back ups!

Summed up perfectly, its difficult to fit a so called luxury player like Fleck into your team but i just hope he goes to Blackpool and gets the freedom, which he will get from Holloway, and hopefully come back n force Ally to find him a place. We missed a big trick with Adam, we cant afford to get stung like that again!

Spot on mate, but why doesnt he play? Fleck is in the most frustrating situation. He got tons of ability but still rarely gets a sniff. Hes another cert to go down south n become a superstar just cos we wouldnt give him a chance in the position he prefers!

I think we do and a decent quality one too. I just hope that we dont shoe-horn the boy McKay into left wing. We need a left footed left winger who can go by a man and deliver a decent cross for big Jela and Naisy comin in off the right, NOT a CM played there cos he got a left peg. Would still like tokeep Wylde but only as cover for someone better!

Goram McGregor Klos Woods Only my opinion but they where all awesome in their own right! Goram, probably the best in the World at his peak, enough said! McGregor, brilliant shot-stopper and on the deck, could even eclipse the Goalie when he hits his peak and cuts out the odd lapse! Klos, again a brilliant shot-shot stopper but kicking was poor! Woods, same as Klos as his pen against Valletta proved! For the record, thought Waterreus was a cracking keeper for us too, was like playing with a sweeper when he played so he would complete my top 5!
