  1. Gets up in the last in the last 20 yards after nearly 3 and a half miles!! Gordon Broon the At The Races presenter giving it big licks that the horse is named after Ally McCoist and the Glasgow Rangers supporters will have backed it.
  2. Thats right due to the Falklands troubles at the time i remember it being a bit lively , wasnt actually in it but we saw a few scuffles outside. I was also in Dublin, now that was lively...........
  3. Had a look at the website, i was at that pre season tournament in Lille, im sure our "trophy signing" that season Craig Paterson made his Rangers debut. I shall be buying the book.
  4. I despise this prick with a passion, only the emergence of lenin makes him my 2nd most hated man in football. Fuck Sunderland.
  5. A mate of mine met him in the 90s when he was a player with Palace and Freedman is a huge Rangers fan.
  6. Rhodes will take his place upfront alongside Shane Long in that team they were linked with in the summer, Shay Given in goal etc..
  7. FFS keep it real its only a matter of time before your back in the Championship in front of 7,000 home crowds. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/15919454.stm
  8. I there knew there would be an answer to this and thats why i asked. Namouchi now there's a player who in old firm games defined the phrase "worse than a man short".
  9. Can someone tell me of a worse midfield we have had in the last 30 years.
  10. Apologies if this is similar to the post to "If we had a manager with a different philosophy". Too often we work the ball down the flanks only to send in a high ball in to the box. Most of the time this results in either the ball floating over the bar or behind the goal, caught by the keeper, won by a defender, and this is if our man can actually get the ball in without a defender blocking the cross in the first place. We dont win these balls enough to get in an effort on target or a knock down to one of our forwards. Too much possesion is lost this way. If the ball needs to be played in why cant if be low and hard or cut back to the edge of the box for someone to shoot. As the game flowed away from us today these high balls were even being put in from the halfway line and were mopped up by the Killie defenders too easily. Barcelona we aint but surely a bit more imaginative football coming forward.
  11. Everytime we have a bad result either jig or Broadfoot is in the team.
  12. Borussia Dortmund 0-0 about 1982 was the old UEFA cup. About 7,000 travelling fans (lot made up from the Army on the Rhine), what an atmosphere.
  13. I feel like we have signed the new Ronaldo.
  14. No matter who's to blame Advocaat gave us some great performances and results in Europe and was very unlucky at times.
  15. Dont know about the highlights but for a summers day it was feckin freezing.
  16. You are most correct but the reason i posted was i didnt actually see too much being said against other teams or players.
  17. As much as i like to see Scotland win i most definitely dont lose any sleep when they get beat. Growing up watching football during the early seventies i was quite a keen Scotland fan but as the years go by i have a deep resentment of the tartan army. Was just looking at their messageboard and found a few interesting quotes from the members. Topic - CRAIG GORDON "McGregor is a good keeper and a fine number 2. If Gordon returns to fitness and form, and is playing regularly at a high level, then I would like to think he would return to the team. An on-form Craig Gordon is miles better than an on-form Allan McGregor. I certainly don't remember Gordon ever making errors of the sort McGregor has in recent Scotland matches (Ireland, Denmark, Spain, Cyprus)." Topic - KENNY MILLER "He's improved tenfold since he left Rangers " Topic - TEAM GB SHIRT "Ibrox will be awash with them." Topic - GRANT ADAM "Well, you would imagine if Rangers are actually paying any more than lip service to this issue then they would sack him." I know many on here may be big Scotland fans and those dicks on the TA board are the minority but thats too many for me. Whats your views?
  18. The story is twisted journalism at its best. On matchdays at Ibrox you need to watch what words actually come out your mouth or a steward or copper may have you slung out for being sectarian. Ive even read on here someone had a scarf taken off them because it was Orange and had King Billy on it. Rangers are trying to rid the club of this image the media are trying to portray about our fans hence such strict criteria and banning orders being handed out. The bottom line is Rangers are making the effort. The other mob across the city make no such effort to weed out sectarianism and allow their filthy followers to sing about terrosism and spout their hatred to all things British and Protestant. lawlell and co see nothing wrong with this behaviour and no need to hand out banning orders.Lets be honest about it even the manager racially abused 2 Rangers players in the tunnel this year in an OF game and got away with it so that gives carte blanche to their fans. Back to the story in the Scotsman- thats an absolutely disgraceful piece, its about the overdue tims comeuppance and the writer tries to blacken the name of Rangers. Unfortunately its a sign of the times in this horrible wee country called Scotland.
  19. Im sure that was against Morton at Ibrox poss late 70s early 80s.
