For a rig like that and for the money its costing I'd recommend a solid state hard drive for the operating system and the like. I just finished a new build and I used a Crucial M4 128Gb SSD for my primary HDD (OS and BIOS) and a Western Digital 2Tb mechanical HDD for my storage. Granted the SSD is more expensive in terms of £/Gb but the response time is awesome. £150 for the SSD but I'd say worth it for a rig like that. http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004W2JKZI Unless he's planning on overclocking, there's probably not much need for the liquid cooling. Stock cooler on the i5-2500k is surprisingly good. I'd also consider upping the PSU output, maybe to an 850 watt modular supply for that beast of a gfx card. Another thing is he probably wont need a sound card. I used the P8P67 Pro mobo and my sound output has been magic. The case is decent but I've heard its quite tight and the cable management can be ropey. I went for the HAF932 Advanced. Great airflow and HUGE. I'll finish by adding, I had a couple of nights head scratching due to restarts and random shutdowns when playing BF3. I eventually isolated the RAM as the problem. I was using G.Skill Ripjaws 4x4Gb @ 12800 MHz cos they were slightly cheaper, but I'll be replacing them for Corsairs when I get the chance.
