Brechin. Was just glad to see the team back on the pitch after all that went on during the summer. No licence until the Friday before the game. All the players leaving. No pre season games. During one of the original fighting fund meetings the suggestion of selling the turf was raised as the pitch was being completely renewed for the new season. Jim hannah said that it was impossible due to the make up of the turf. Something to do with the sand and soil mix which meant the turf could not be cut and lifted into squares etc. This sounds like a scam to me. But drop Jim an email and he will confirm. I would agree with a post above, Rangers would be doing this themselves if it were the case.

I asked the TO about a refund for my original tickets and was told if I return the tickets and ask for a refund I will be removed from the away ticket scheme. Even though I can't make the rescheduled game. No real.

As they invented sporting integrity they should have no problem with either of the following, 1) Rangers adding the 7 titles won during ww2 to our official haul. or 2) Both clubs removing the titles won during ww1 as a mark of respect to the people who paid the ultimate sacrifice fighting for king and country. So the official title hauls are either 61 / 43 or 53 / 39 . With the above in mind does anyone know why we list our ww1 title but not our ww2 titles? As timothy likes to have the moral high ground and ensure sporting integrity is upheld why don't we start our own campaign to remove some of their titles! We all know that Rangers have won 61 titles but quite rightly do not include the 7 titles won during world war 2. The inventors of sporting integrity won 5 titles during world war 1 and guess what. They do include them within their honours list. Now we know it's correct they won them, but as odious creep says, its morally incorrect they include them on their official honours list. They can't have it both ways. Start a campaign to have Ceptic remove these titles from their honours list as a mark of respect to the people who gave their lives fighting for king and country. And of course it is the morally correct thing to do.

Ajax have been turning out high quality youngsters for years. These guys play together for years and are coached to be equally comfortable on either foot. Frank de Boer has employed Dennis Berkamp to look after the strikers Jaap Stam for the defenders etc. High quality ex players in charge of the club who know Ajax inside out. Nothing wrong with copying others as long as you have a long term game plan that should include the scouting system and youth team coaches. This is an ideal opportunity to introduce new mythology from top to bottom, but everyone needs to buy into it. The players need to spend longer at training working on fitness and tactics. We need to work just as hard without the ball pressing teams to get it back quickly and attack with pace. Do we need to play with 4 defenders every week in Scotland? For me it's 3-5-2 with the 2 wide players working the lines and delivering quality balls into the box for the strikers to attack.
