If they have refused to transfer across their contracts to the newco is means that any money obtained would probably go straight to hmrc and other creditors of the oldco. Once the oldco are liquidated I don't see how the SFA or anyone else can stop them from transfering. No sanctions will be applied other than maybe another fine. There's no point in cooking the books to get us into the 1st Division for the sake of their precious tv deal then stripping us of the tools to win that league.

I think it's officially time to get behind Green and start buying season tickets etc. The bottom line is the guy is only out to make money but he can only do that by making a successful Rangers who win the first division and go straight back to the SPL. After that he then has to ensure that we have a team capable of coming at least 2nd in order to get European football once we are allowed to compete again. A team like that will cost money. I still think that upon gaining entry to the SPL there should be an organised boycott of the away fixtures for at least 1 season. At some point their shareholders will need to address that situation, cut costs and service the debt they have while trying to remain competitive. I dont think there will be any more sanctions like that, this whole debacle is happening so Rangers can get straight back into the SPL. As such they wont be applying any senctions that could stop that from happening.

However if what you said was happening then we wouldn't be getting into Div 1 they would just boot us to Div 3.

Ultimately if the SFL clubs don't vote for Div 1 then Rhegan and Dhoncaster force through the SPL 2 pish? I don't quite understand the ins and outs of it but it seems pretty clear that we won't be playing in the 3rd. I can't help but think there is an alterior motive to this farce.

Is it not the case that UEFA's main objection to Rangers moving south is that there is a viable league in Scotland. I think we can now argue that there isn't a viable league for Rangers in scotland as we're being excluded and in being excluded causing the death of the game and turning the scottish leagues into the level of the welsh ones. The who system is rotten to the core and has been on life support for the last 5 years. I was down in london when we got beat by the scum (the 1-0 game when a perfectly good Rangers goal wasn't seen). And I was sat in a pub with my English friends and was actually embarrased to let them see the game. They were quite right when they said that the game they had just watched was barely League One standard. The SPL was on an eventual slide into being a pub team league and this will just hasten it. Even if we do just end up in Div 1 it doesn't change the fact that Scotlands participation in europe will be largely non-existent. The scum have no chance of getting into the CL and give it a few seasons and getting into the group stages of the Europa league will be rare occurrance. I think it's a possibility. By letting the SFL teams vote first it would also put pressure on them to vote yes. However the SFL teams are all ran by old men so they'd be as likely to postpone their own vote if they tried that shie would be funny.

I'd fucking love for them to do that, can you imagine how outraged Septic are going to be when they have no competitive game before going into euro qualifiers? Not to mention the other diddy teams in europe.
