  1. I'd love to see the viewing figures for them too vs any old firm games. Must be a good 1/6th what Rangers or Septic would get. Other thing to consider too is how many Gers fans watch the taigs play until they go 1 or 2 goals up on the off chance they'll get fucked? Non old firm games will be lucky to beat womens bowls and even septic games would drop in viewing figures because Gers fans have no vested interest.
  2. That's predicated on Green still owning the club and at that stage I think he'd walk away and try and recoup his investment.
  3. I think Green will be more than willing to capitulate if that's what it takes to save his investment. End of the day he could give two fucks about our pride or history, he'll let the scum at the SFA/SPL do whatever they like as long as it doesn't overly negatively impact him financially. If they turn to Green and say 6 month transfer ban and we strip Rangers of the last 10 titles and cups then he'll accept.
  4. HMRC are a shower of arseholes who fucked it up just like they fucked up the Harry Rednapp situation. If Rangers go down to Div 3 then the impact will be felt on the economy. Bottom line is though so we paid people using the EBT big whoop. Tax man wants to make out like its all getting hidden under floorboards but really what did all these players that received payments do? They want out buying fast cars, big houses, designer clothes etc. Tax man got his money eventually but kept a shit load of people in jobs.
  5. I can believe that story, because ultimately Green wants a return on investment and 2 years punished in the SPL is still better than 3 in the lower divisions. This would just be the tip of the iceberg though. If they agree to let us back into the SPL they WILL want to strip our titles from 99 to present. And Green would most likely let them cause what the fuck does he care?
  6. Is this the SPL about to make an 11th hour decision to let us back in because they realise the nuclear wasteground that will be left when we leave?
  7. I've sat and read thread after thread of fans whipping themselves up into a frenzy over this pish. I mean who in their right mind thinks Rangers fans get paid 20k a week to play for the club? It's getting as bad as the tims thinking guys like robbie keane are showing up oh because they're such big celtic fans...aye nothing to do with the 50k a week or anything. Football players look after number 1 these days.
  8. Because I'm sick to the eye teeth of all this traitor pish talk. I know fine well we're all hurting and that we'd all have loved for them to have signed across and gotten transfer fee's for them. But they didn't and I don't blame them. All this traitor talk is bollocks, no cunt was complaining when shagger was keeping the scum out or naisy was rattling them in. And you know what you'll all be fucking complaining when we're getting pumped ragardless of how loyal or big a Rangers fans they are.
  9. We need to speak out and let it be heard 'No more of these rat players, running about scoring goals and winning trophies for MONEY!'.
  10. Well no the majority of Gers fans on here has spoken. We need to tell Green that if he signs any stars who only play for money we'll not be showing up to watch them.
  11. Bottom line if its Div 1 then he stays, Div 3 then he'll be off as soon as he can unload the club. He'll wait to see which way the dice falls, like any sensible businessman would.
  12. 2. Because if the court rules against you (which it very well might do) you've just let 20 million quids worth of player walk out the door. 3. Metro who? They are nice sound bites but he really shouldn't be making promises he can't keep. Wait until we're in a league before you tell us you are going to bankroll a rebuild.
  13. Yeah we don't even know what league we're playing in but Ally is going to money to rebuild? Going to pursue the players that left that he made no attempt to keep? Going to start selling shares when he can't even get a bank to back season ticket sales? I know he's got to come out and say something but this is BS.
  14. I don't begrudge him making a profit in fact if he makes a profit then it will be under a sucessful Rangers. However he'll have gone into this endeavour thinking that within 3 years the club will be in a position to sell. Does he and his consortium have the patience to nurse Rangers through all the lower leagues to get back to an SPL that's about to go into a financial meltdown?
  15. Well if Rangers drop to Div 3 then it turns sevco's 3 year plan to a 5-6 year plan. Plus with the financial fallout in the wake of Rangers leaving it would be debatable whether they'd be as financially lucrative once they do get back into the SPL.
  16. FIFA like to keep things inside the realms of football and the bottom line is the players will take it to the lawmakers and say 'our rights as workers are being violated' and they will probably win as we saw with Rangers and the transfer embargo. The SFA forcing players to take matters outside football sets a bad precident that FIFA won't like. Could backfire big style.
  17. The SFA would do well to just let them go. FIFA getting involved isn't a good thing in any way shape or form.
  18. Green and co bought Rangers with the view to getting them right back into the SPL, getting them on an even keel then doubling/tripling his money from a sale. That's now dead in the water. The next step down from that is doing a year in Div 1 and 'paying our golf club membership' but the rumblings from division 1 clubs, so far Raith and Clyde is that the SPL are trying to blackmail them and they don't like it. So should Green be making his exit plans the now as for my money Div 1 has a 50/50 chance of happening and Div 3 is not in any way shape or form in his plans. Is it time for Walter and co to say 'we'll give you what you paid and you can walk away even'? I know there's a lot of bad feeling towards the 'Rangers men' who didn't front the money to buy the club in the first place, but given the fickle nature of Rangers supporters if Walter and co had of done what Green did then how many people on here would be calling Smith a traitor and scum for being part of the club being liquidated? My ideal scenario right now is a sale to Walter and co and dropping down to Div 3.
  19. All the guys leaving are all singing the same tune, no one spoke to us, no one consulted us. Green did nothing but come out in the media and said the contracts have been transfered and thats that. All this hate directed towards Naismith and co is naivety at its highest. Green did fuck all to keep these players and try to get a fee for them so it either suited him for them to jump ship or he's a complete fucking incompetant letting 20 million quids worth of player walk out the door.
  20. Simple question, yes or no, did Green do all he could to keep the players?
  21. Right so Green can get say maybe 3 million for shagger yeah? 2-3 million for Davis, maybe 500k-1mil for whittaker. So can cover the cost of his group buying the club by selling these players...So who do you think should be picking up the phone to whom?
  22. They will stand to lose out a good 10 million a year easy from Rangers dropping to division 3. I'm sure they will make up some of the cash in other ways but the bottom line is they will need to slash their wage bill as a result, slashing wages mean worse players means worse performances and lower attendances means less money still. So they are trying to shoe horn us into the 1st division so Scum FC can continue business as usual with the same TV money etc.
  23. I prefer just to wish him well and remember how I felt when I saw this
  24. The point I'm trying to make is do you know that at any point in this saga did Green go to the players cap in hand and say "look lads it would really help if you transfered to the newco, we'll expediate any transfer dealings and get the best deal for you and the club and you can walk away hero's" and the players callously rejecting it in favour of jumping ship? From the sounds of things the players have not been treated all the well by Green and are well within their rights to do the best for their interests. All I heard, from Green, was "we've transfered the players contracts, its legally binding and if they try to leave we'll take them to court". Not surprised they fucked off.
