I think if he'd take it without question he'd be appointed , I also think he was genuinely excited about the club but the failure to achieve promotion is a hit plus despite how huge we know the club is the state of Scottish football must be a factor as well surely ?

I don't have any inside Rangers info but heard snippets over this and like I've said I think the talk of imminent appointment miles off . I'd be confident to say his demands won't be 'excessive' , I'm sure he's not cheap but that's not the same thing. Overall as an appointment I'd rate it as unlikely

I'm not sure he is as as I'm told there hasn't been a formal offer . However if he was to take the job and fail he would effectively be dead in the water career wise when other jobs on more lucrative wages are available . If you are to consider taking the job and look at risk/reward then it seems reasonable to get a salary you consider commensurate with ability . Someone like Warburton dropped money to get onto football and could almost certainly earn more money elsewhere but that doesn't mean he wouldn't want what he felt he was worth .

I mentioned in the other thread I'm Told from a decent source that this is miles from being done and that there hasn't been a formal offer . I'd expect reports that the figures will probably be miles apart to run tomorrow . It may happen but I honest think it's more unlikely than likely despite his respect and interest in the club .

Again disregard if you like but I think warbuton deal is looking very unlikely, I'd expect press reports to discuss the wages been too expensive. Whatever you read or hear 100% No offer made to warbuton .

I wouldn't want to shoot anyone down who are saying that they've been told he is to be appointed and people are perfectly free to dismiss my post but from what I've been told from a good source (not within the club) although there has been contact and interest from both sides I'd say talk of a deal being done and dusted is premature .

Sky have no control over anyone showing foreign TV , it's nothing to do with them but the premier league do and only this month a couple of landlords got done for showing 3pm's despite all the stuff you see in the media. Sky own the rights to the score clock , logo , commentators and all the various wipes . They also employ investigators to check pubs , it's not easy having them off and signs saying no sky or premier league aren't enforceable .

Fair enough mate I don't know a lot about laudrups deal other than he 'liked' to use his own agent to do incoming transfers which caused a lot of problems but thought it was around £700k certainly felt it was more than the figure I replied to. As regards warbuton as I said earlier not saying it'll happen but it's certainly not just papertalk and I know that for a fact. Also look at warbuton and what he's done in his life he certainly isn't a bloke either afraid of taking a chance or whose only concern is money .

Wasn't laudrup on about £700-800k pa ? Before you factor in bonuses etc which lets be fair will dwarf anything we could offer .

The money in the premier league is crazy though mate and that kind of cash just couldn't compete when you factor in signings , running the club and wages , you wouldn't believe the money pulis has banked the last couple of seasons including bonuses . Also as said above its about staying within a structure now surely ? Lessons have to be learned .

At the minute warbuton would be in demand at championship teams chasing promotion looking for a new manager . It's an indictment of the damage the club have suffered but I'm not sure how many managers in a similar position or better would be a genuine and realistic target . Warbuton certainly has a lot of potential and Rangers might have to go with talent and a lot of potential .

That's the truth of it . The likes of collymore puts the boot in and the media are all over it this happens and I fully expect to see the usual suspects describe It as non-sectarian. In my opinion the law is a mess and needs either serious clarification or casting aside but that really is an argument for an other day. This is a player using a term that if the teams were reversed would probably see him arrested , it cannot be acceptable for Rangers to be pilloried by the very people that excuse their own time and time again . It can't be allowed to be one rule for one and one for another , their is either legislation of there isn't .

The only advice I would ever give any one who finds themselves arrested ,having been in that position myself, was best illustrated by that 24 hours in custody the other night. Three different blokes for three differebt domestics and only one went no comment and he was the most objectionable of the three but wound up being the only one not charged or cautioned at the end . The fact that singing this song can get you arrested is a disgrace but the time to formulate your argument or response isn't in the cell or in an interview when they hold all the cards. Save your battles until you have all the facts and evidence to formulate your defence as Is your right.
