  1. It's a possibility. I'm not Mystic Meg or the Brahan Seer. Wonder what odds you'd get on it happening.
  2. Will anyone be unhappy if Brown goes off his trolley, kicks Barton, gets sent off and Rangers win the first game against the unspeakables? Probably not.
  3. Well he's pretty ancient, but still playing at 98 must be a record?
  4. Heresy to some on here, but I think he's been poor since the start of the season. Warburton appears to think he has to be played to bring him into a patch of form. He played today as he has since the Motherwell game in the BetFred, poor passing and couldn't hit his arse with a banjo. He's our new Lee McCulloch and I really hated him. Don't know what's gone wrong with Halliday at all. Agree that Holt and Windass are better options. Shouldn't play next Friday. Plenty of options and no need nowadays to stick by an underperforming player through thick and thin. No doubt some wont like this, but it's the unvarnished truth.
  5. Really enjoyed the first half and then come on here to see what the troops are saying. Nothing but carping and complaints. All things being equal we'll skoosh this. Have some faith for god sake.
  6. Why is Clint being ignored. Perhaps because he was the invisible man?
  7. Desperately need a big solid cetre half, preferably one that's a lot more mobile than Clint. The defence improved when Wilson came on and is indicative of Clint's performance. Burnley were way more fit than Rangers and it really showed in the opening half hour. If McParland knows some one suitable we should be pursuing him double quick. Mariappa may be waiting for us to go back to him with a better offer?
  8. Thanks for that. Hard to believe he's only 14. He seems enthusiastic about his football and he can beat a player, lay on goals and score them. If his brother is anything like Dapo we have two gems to look out for. I envy you being able to watch our development games. A bit early to say, but do you think the Warburton plan A is working down through the squads and the coaches have them playing in the same formation and manner as the First Team? Thanks again.
  9. The striking thing about his time on the pitch was that senior players were giving him the ball again and again. He was a safe place/player to give posession of the ball. He's a players player, a leader and he isn't anonymous on the pitch. Brilliant capture by Warburton & McParland. Thank you gents. Having said that, it was Stranraer he was in against, but a star is certainly being born.
  10. Dapo and Dire Mebude are brothers. Both are very promising young players. I think Dapo is seventeen now and scores a lot of goals.
  11. Two square passes resulted in two goals. Can be quite deadly around the penalty box. MOH looks nothing like the player we signed in January. Looked constipated in the latter half of last season, but very energetic, fast and direct today. On todays performance he wants to start every game.
  12. I particularly like the idea that tall 13/14 year olds should play against players who are physically the same size though older in years. The idea being they will develop better technique, not depend on their superior stature and weight to advance in the game and develop in the correct manner. The old battle cry of better a good big yin, rather than a good wee yin, must become a thing of the past. How it'll work in practice is an interesting conundrum?
  13. A sensible reply that acknowledges the article posted on the RFC site. It does sound like a sound notion that would be worth pursuing. Thanks for your input and yes I hope Rangers do stick with it. Warburton and his staff are certainly bringing innovative techniques into their training of young players, 'Coerver' being another example. http://www.coerverscotland.uk/
  14. http://rangers.co.uk/news/academy-news/academy-trial-bio-banding/ https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2015/dec/19/biobanding-scientists-skinny-kids-sporting-superstars Sounds logical that we should be doing this.
  15. http://www.scotsman.com/sport/football/competitions/championship/interview-ian-mccall-on-his-rangers-run-ins-with-souness-1-4121364 Worth a read. I liked him as a player, but didn't apply himself.
  16. He scored against the infidels. Good enough for anyone surely?
  17. This. MW doesn't see him as a defender who'll fit in with the way he wants his central defenders to play. He's of an age where he should be showing to MW that he has the potential to be what he's looking for. If I were the Manager (god forbid) the first question I would ask myself is 'If he weren't a Rangers player, would I want to sign him?' Obviously MW wouldn't.
  18. He's an excellent journalist. There aren't many about.
  19. Off course you have to pay wages and bonuses as well. If that isn't included in the 5 million then it's a fair enough spend. We'll be freeing up wages from those who are departing also. It's all a far cry from what we used to spend and all the better for it.
  20. Careful now, or you'll be accused of being a creepy bastard.
  21. Far too wee as well. I doubt if we'll get him on loan?
  22. I blame our Manager for being too respectful and giving them nothing to attack Rangers with. How very dare he. They continually try to foment a rammy out of thin air. It isn't working and they're angry. Anybody noticed if Hibernian are having a 'crisis'?
