  1. An awful lot stood by the judgement of Super Ally. Very perceptive of them?
  2. For the Law haters on here. Judging by Warburton's reaction when he subbed Law, he loves the wee slapheid and so do I. Some on here wouldn't know a player if they fell over him. 65 games in a row and apparently our top scorer last season and he still gets criticised. The Ref and his assistants were crap especially the assistant, camera side, second half. McCoist's side would have struggled today playing on that surface. We have the the sort of manager the wise among us wanted 3 years ago, but we were stuck with Super Ally and he's still taking money from us. I wouldn't be seeking an autograph. If we should drop the odd point in the near future don't start panicking. We are being entertained by our Team and we should all be fucking grateful after what we had to put up with. I honestly can't believe some of the comments on this match thread, but we can't all appreciate good football when we see it.
  3. I would imagine there would be a lot of competition for Murdoch. He wont be going to Hibs though.

  5. Ally was Walter's choice to succeed him in the hotseat and he can't admit that on his advice Rangers made a clusterfuck of an appointment. His advice has cost the Club untold millions and turned a crisis into an holocaust. Sorry Walter, but you're culpable.
  6. I can remember the photographs of training sessions under Ally's watch where the players were all smiles and nary a bead of honest sweat showing. Posters used to say they're just fooling around for the cameras and after the snaps were taken they all got down to hard graft with super coaching from the Manager thrown in. From all the evidence I've garnered since, the reassuring posters were wrong, and training was actually as portrayed in the snaps. The trouble with Ally was he still thought he was living in Walter's era when a procession of brilliant players passed through the gates at Ibrox. He didn't understand that the players he had weren't really that brilliant and had to be worked hard and the bad habits coached out of them. He was slothful and didn't really understand that he had to work as hard as the players he'd signed, maybe even harder. He was Walter's assistant and either he learnt nothing from the great man, or Walter didn't teach Ally correctly. Although a great Manager Walter is most to blame for leaving the Team in the hands of somebody who didn't understand or have the wisdom to run a team under vastly different conditions than Walter. Ally just wasn't the right person to do the job. He couldn't comprehend what had to be done in more straightened times, so abysmally failed to live up to his grossly inflated salary. The McCoist era has been a tragedy for Rangers not just for the insanity of Whites 'stewardship', but to a large extent the inadequacy of the Manager left in charge whilst all the infighting went on. Too many eyes were off the ball including the supports. Hopefully we have turned the corner under Warburton who seems to know what he's doing.
  7. A few on this Thread are forgetting the Amoruso incident. He received a suspension for it as well. http://www.theguardian.com/football/2003/mar/18/newsstory.sport15
  8. In the few months before Ally was forced to step down a large section of the crowd, that still went to the games, were still chanting 'Super Ally'. It demonstrated that you could still fool some of the people all of the time. You can stretch loyalty well past the twanging point with our support.
  9. Charlie Green said it was the worst team Rangers had ever had playing for the Club. He was castigated for it, but an awful lot agreed with him. Charlie was this and that, but he said what he said when he was still in charge of the Club. I agreed with him and thought he was brave saying it. Guess who was upset?
  10. Poor old Ally, that's all that was lacking? They were booing because the football was crap.
  11. Don't forget that both our full backs play like wingers. First time in awhile we've had a pairing like that.
  12. Very rarely anything else. McCoist bought him and hadn't a clue how to use him. In a football playing side he could be very useful.
  13. I'd thought we were all pleased that we were playing people in their natural positions? We had enough of this pish with our last manager.
  14. Perhaps folk should listen to Warburton interviews more closely.
  15. Accountable only to London and by extension Westminster.
  16. It's been some time since we had a team full of potential captains. Not there yet, but it's of interest when we're thinking like this. A pleasant prospect.
  17. Good to see a young lad coming into the first team squad. However it may also indicate that we wont be signing any strikers in the near future. If he does have the good fortune to occasionally start a game for Rangers, hopefully he won't suffer the all to usual vilification from the brain dead.
  18. I would point out that Ray 'Butch' Wilkins came in and did a turn for us at the same age. Not saying Eustace is the player Wilkins was, but he's the same type.
  19. McCoist isn't the Manager anymore. Thank fuck.
