That sounds a bit like the sort of statement the SFA will put out tomorrow, but it was already clear before kick-off that there had been loss of lives, so surely some mark of respect might have been shown?
It was good to see Wes moving quickly to get the ball back into play instead of holding on to the ball and desperately looking to find a way to play it out from the back, regardless of the risks. His overall distribution was faster and more effective than I've seen.
It was my mistake, but the ticket office didn't send an e-mail prompt, and it was some time before I realised what had happened as there were a couple of cup games I couldn't go to anyway, so I didn't miss the tickets for a while.
Yes, I was caught out with this - my card paid for the season tickets, but expired a few months later and I was wondering why I wasn't getting tickets for the cup games ... Should have informed the ticket office about the new card.
If you were a Scottish journalist you would not have been able to write those two sentences. Joined-up writing, too many big words, no exclamation marks ...
You are right to say that it wasn't a straight choice - that's fair enough. However, I think it was clear that he could have come to Ibrox if he had been prepared to wait a few months, and lots of other players in that kind of position simply grit their teeth and get on with things at their current club until their preferred move takes place. Allan chose not to do that.
Whatever happens, at least he'll know that he made the right decision to come to Ibrox and pull on the jersey. Unlike his former pal who turned us down and went off to Celtic Park to disappear into oblivion.
Celtic-funded tabloid comic rag in shocking shit-stirring incident. Never mind though, Walter Smith and/or Barry Ferguson will be giving them interviews or 'articles' very soon ...
Impressive start.
No questions about his thoughts on how many players he might need to bring in ...
'It's about the history, the trophies and the fans.' Right enough.
He speaks English better than McLeish or McInnes. Hopefully he will want to have an articulate local person on the management team, so that should rule Ferguson out.
He poses more of a consistent threat to opposition defences than McKay. Maybe less skilful than McKay, but much more direct, and certainly more consistent.
Sell him at the first opportunity. It's very clear that he has reached the limits of his progress. One good game in every six or seven is not good enough. He's not going to move up to the next level.
