***** The Official Taigs v Rangers Match Thread *****

Waghorn doesn't even manage to stay onside ... -
Playing well in second half.
-
If he performs he way he did in last season's SC Semi, I'm very happy for him to play. He was a headless chicken that day.
-
What's been impressive about Wilson recently has been partly his own performances and partly the fact that he has marshalled a very inexperienced defence.

Yes, I could see him making a move down south and then slipping down the divisions with smaller and smaller clubs ... -

McKay's a frustrating character. He plays really well about one game in six, so it's clear that he has something, but he lacks any kind of consistency, and I think he just reached his level and isn't moving on to the next stage. He has had plenty of chances with two managers now. -

I think you are being too generous towards McKay. Dodoo faced the same defence in the second half, and he took them apart. -

Beerman, Hyndman and Holt were excellent today. The young guy looks a real prospect. From where I was sitting in the Main Stand, McKay looked to be hiding. No movement, didn't want the ball and did absolutely nothing with it when he had it. Really glad to see that the manager acted on this at half-time. McKay needs to leave in the summer. Forest? -
Yes, but in the pathetic world of Scottish football 'broadcasting' and 'journalism', they are both treated as if they have something to say ...

Ferguson attracts attention far beyond his importance. Only in the small, incestuous world of the Scottish comic rags and their football hangers-on would a failed coach like this be given the time of day.

Barrie McKay supposedly rejects contract extension

Move him out and take the money. There's no evidence that he has improved as a player. Reached his peak a while ago -

There's three issues here: 1. Securing justice for the victims of these crimes. 2. Ensuring that the culprits are dealt with properly, if this has not already happened. 3. Ensuring that the institution that protected and shielded the culprits is dealt with properly. While 1 and 2 might or might not happen, there is no chance at all that the Scottish football establishment, will allow 3 to happen. The establishment is only interested in imposing sanctions in cases of alleged financial impropriety involving a particular club. -

Daly's just been oin Twitter saying the programme is 'not on your schedules' and it's clear that they have kept the whole thing very, very quiet until as late as possible. Fearful of threats from Celtic Park perhaps? I'll still be extremely surprised if the programme nails Celtic and raises legitimate issues of sanctions against them for their cover up. -

I've seen nothing in the way of advance publicity for this programme. They seem to be keeping it 'under the radar', as opposed to Daly's works of fiction on us, which were heavily trailed in advance as major 'coming attractions'. -

Mark Daly is the 'brain' behind this broadcast, so I wouldn't hold out too much hope that it will be accurate and truthful ... -
Haven't read though all the posts here, so forgive me if someone else has already suggested this, but perhaps we could all wave our phones in the air in a moving gesture just the way the Celtic fans did at Ibrox last time? Would that be too emotional though? Just a thought ...

Not really sure what this job amounts to, being honest, but PC sees the need for it, so fair enough. Welcome back JJ. Glad that we won't have Ferguson undermining the club from within - he'll now get on with trying to do that in alliance with his pals on the Celtic funded comic.

Barry Ferguson Rangers better prepare for the Battle.

Call it what you like, the fact is that it's in a financial relationship with Celtic. Now we are either serious about taking on our enemies, or we are only pretending that we are. If the latter, then it's perfectly fine for our former managers and players to take the money from this comic. -

You said it, he certainly does. Legend or not, it's despicable behaviour from anyone associated with our club. -

It's ok, you still get to be called a legend even if your 'greatest moment in football' was with another club, and if you regularly take money from our enemies. -

The legends who get fairly criticised are the ones who choose to take money from our enemies. -

That'll be the ex-Rangers player who takes a regular income from a Celtic funded comic. -

Translation: 'please, please, please geeza job at Ibrox'. Assume that this masterpiece has appeared in Ferguson's publication of choice - the Celtic funded rag?
