Would you want Morelos and Kent to stay?
Moody Blue replied to NorthernLights's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
We’ve said for years our front three are nowhere near good, or ruthless, enough. They’ve been 2 of the 3 for throughout that time so, whilst I don’t think we should even be in the position of their contracts running down, it’s time to let them go and look to change things. If they stay, we’ll be subjected to more of the same shite for the next two years. They both think they are better than they are. -

The markets we shop in this summer

The cheapest one -
I feel a bit sorry for him if a troublesome injury just can’t get resolved, I’m sure he’d rather be playing and contributing than going through this. However, from a club’s perspective, we aren’t get any sort of value from the wages we’re going out so time to get him fit for end of season then get rid (if at all possible). I doubt he’ll have a 40games a season again. It’s exactly this type of player we need to rid the squad of, albeit he has more goals in him than any other of the playing staff.

Moody Blue replied to NorthernLights's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
Not any more, both have been part of a front three that has consistently proven to not be good enough. -
Run by amateurs to finish second. On one hand they talk about improving player trading but for every Bassey and Patterson, there’s a contract being completely run down and players lost for nothing. You then have multiple millions buys for players like Grezda, Matondo and paying Liverpool triple what they paid for someone that never played and money to Ramsay and Diallo. The amount of wages and transfer monies wasted is disgusting. Given this seems to be accepted by the board, without challenge or repercussions, we largely deserve all we get.

I liked Bobby and he never let us down, I’d have been tempted to pay the funds tbh

What's Needed For Next Season
Moody Blue replied to Gascoigne's Flute's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
What’s needed? Financial backing or a fucking miracle. A new GK and a new front 3 are the obvious. -
I actually like Kent and wished he’d signed an extension by now. However, if we are being brutally honest he is part of a front three that has regularly failed to be good enough so I think it’s time to go with a change, let him go (like Morelos) and start again rather than another 1/2 seasons of the same as what we’ve seen.

We have a complete rebuild job needed in the summer, we don’t have the financial backing to do this so I feel we’re in for some tough viewing across a few seasons now where they will surpass our total trophy haul and 55. Our board plan for being second best and that’s what we get, that’s the perspective to focus on. Our whole approach to managing players contracts, purchases, etc is so flawed it’s absolutely reeking with pish. From Matondo to Ridvan to the potential £££s for Tillman and compare that with what them across the city paid for their midfielders that dominated the game tells you everything you need to know about our approach under Wilson. Not one of our board will be concerned about my first paragraph above.

2 Trophies in 7 seasons since returning
Moody Blue replied to JimmyCR1's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
We could have easily punted Kent in the summer through agent's work, the point is we choose not to. There's no way we'd have entertained any offer for Tav anyway, despite it being right to sell him and move on. We're making the same point but arguing about it, it falls on our inability to move people on when it is right to do so, that lot do, irrespective of their performance in Europe. -

Kent was in the EL team of the year last season, not signing an extension, we couldn't have punted him as well last summer? -
Checked out in the head last summer when his buddies left and he didn't get his move. MB needs to stop playing old pals.

The board should have had a roasting at last year's AGM, instead, we have clowns asking about parking at the Albion. One decent question challenging Wilson was it. -
Might as well start a thread - defending

Both goals conceded are carbon copies and exactly the same as the frankfurt goal in May, usual suspects will never EVER learn. -

He's doing an excellent job though according to the board at AGM, we are rotten to the core mate. They also punt players 12-18m after signing them if they're not staying long term or aren't good enough, ours see out their contracts. It's an absolute shambles. -

A tad harsh mate, its brutal but there's no way today's team/squad is worse than Warburton's / Pedro's shambles first season up or Macari's shambles in the 90s across the road. -

We only have ourselves to blame. Finally got ourselves sorted, won the league and then fell asleep at the wheel thinking "mission accomplished". Then when we finally sold players for good value this summer, our resulting spending was farcical. We don't need to match them for spending, but what we have spent, was ridiculous. -
Lack of mobility, ability and application in the forward line
Moody Blue replied to graeme_4's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
Morelos is a waste of a jersey, bar his goal, he did fuck all and has been like that all season. Sakala is garbage and should just stick to the we buy any car advert, Kent is one of the losers who has contributed fuck all for most of his time here. Colak doesn't fit MB's team and is a shadow of the Malmo player but he would score goals. Roofe is made of glass and we spent £3m on Matondo. Shocking state of affairs -
Welcome Back to Rangers, Michael Beale!
Moody Blue replied to Davy Vandenbroucke's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
The shambles this season goes far deeper than issues with MB and what he's inherited. The unfit squad, the shambolic summer spending, the volume of injuries, contracts being run down - an utter shit show. He needs to stop auto-defaulting to his favourites. His credit will evaporate quickly if he doesn't beat them and win a trophy this season, today was a fantastic opportunity to send a message across the city, sadly, more of the same beckons.
