Or perhaps its just a coincidence we have a bad game and he is in the team? I don't see how our whole style has changed to suit him, he doesn't dictate our front line and midfield closing them down. The fast flowing football is largely down to Kranjcar and Hill IMO, Niko doesn't release the ball fast enough and lets players run on to both him and others before he finally makes his pass and Hill is exactly the same, as bad as people say Kiernan is, he is good at finding passes into the midfield quickly or spraying it out wide.

Halliday and Kiernan aren't slow, don't get this myth about Kiernan being slow, the only time I have seen someone beat him for pace was MOH and that is because he is one of the faster players in Scotland.

He normally does try quite hard, there was a good few times, even in pre-season against Motherwell for example, he lost the ball and tracked back and won it near our box to start another attack. Like I said before, the players just looked so unfit today it was ridiculous.

Agree with this entirely, as my pal said, some players were picked on merit. There is no way after the pre season Miller had should he have been starting ahead of O'Halloran, I reckon Warburton felt he would have coped with the occasion more which turned out to be the wrong decision. Had the players listed by G.E.C started ahead of Miller, Kranjcar and Halliday (To a lesser extent) we would have won today. I think our fitness played a large part in it too, the players looked dead on their arse and didn't make nearly as much runs as they normally do.

So why such a big dramatic reaction today then if everyone already thought that? There is still 37 games to go and if people think we will play all of them like we did today then they are completely brain dead.

Hardie on the other hand has and was given an extension last year, Thompson too was signed by this regime and has played first team football. I can understand people think because they aren't playing regularly they will never make it but that isn't how I see it. They will play when they are ready, Warburton doesn't feel they are ready yet to compete with Barton etc so they are going out on loan to help get them to that stage, simple.

Well he has said himself he is a big fan of the loan market, and doesn't see the benefit of young players sitting in our U20's. If he wanted rid of them he would do what he done with Gallagher last summer and Bell this summer albeit an older player. I don't know exactly what players Brentford used but he was there for 18 months, its not as if he had time to promote players after loan spells there. Are there any examples of him loaning a player out then releasing them?

Warburton doesn't use the loan market like that, he understands how useful it can be in terms of promoting youth players.
