  1. How can anyone on this forum put Peralta in their starting lineup already? Have you seen him play yet? Bell Foster Luca McCulloch Smith Templeton McLeod Law Wallace Little Daly I'd keep the likes of McKay, Clark, Crawford, Naismith, Shiels, Black on the bench... I'm actually quite happy with any starting line up this year, I just hope some of our younger players who played well last year when it counted (McKay, McLeod, Aird) get the opportunity still with some older players in the mix.
  2. Not sure how I feel about this signing yet if it is indeed confirmed by the club (I haven't seen anything on the offical website yet). Smith was OK when he played for us but wasn't anything special. Now that was a while back and we have dropped to a lower league so he will probably do decently for us. He would be a pretty good choice right now to add competition for Wallace but we also have young Andy Mitchell who was playing pretty well at the end of last season there already. I just hope this signing isn't because the club wants to sell Wallace or doesn't think our younger players can step-up. Wasn't Stevie Smith the player who was supposedly saying he preferred playing in the the USA for money as well and that he didn't regret leaving Rangers? From a footballing perspective I think this signing makes sense but I'm not thrilled to see us signing him back as a Rangers fan. I hope he prooves many of us all wrong and shows us he's got the ability and the desire to wear our jersey.
  3. And let's take the Clarke boy from QoS too... There's two decent SFL players we could easily sign that would add a touch of quality and goals and help support the likes of Little and Hemmings. They also wouldn't be on massive salaries. I'd snatch back up Jordan McMillan and Andrew Shinnie in a heartbeat if it were possible too. I don't want Daly from Dundee United. I just don't want him at all.
  4. McMillan already has a new club. He signed for Partick Thistle.
  5. Let's say we could afford to pay his wage demands... Do you honestly think he is going to want to play in the 3rd tier of Scottish Football next season when he could probably be playing in the Championship at a similar wage? Also, there's no doubts we could get defenders of a similar quality who can help get us through the next couple seasons at half his wage demands. If we could get him that would be great. But I think we have to be more realistic in our signing perspectives and look at how the current crop of former SPL players have done for us so far. Black has been pretty pathetic all season, Shiels has only moments of class, and Sandaza has been injured and running his mouth about our club.
  6. No, please Rangers do not bring back Kris Boyd. He left for money when we wanted/needed a player to bang in goals for us. He has shown that without a decent team behind him he is average. He could have been a LEGEND at the club and gone on to be the greatest goal scorer in the clubs history but he left for money and the glory of playing in the English Championship. Unless he is playing for free I don't want him anywhere near Ibrox anymore.
  7. He'd be better than signing Sandaza and Kyle. But why bring in players on that kind of money when I bet there are tons of players in the 1st and 2nd division that are willing to play for Rangers, get the job done, and play for literally nothing. Why can't people see that signing these players right now is probably going to hurt the club financially? And as it has been pointed out, would you really want a player like Goodwillie representing Rangers FC with his legal history?
  8. Would definitely like to see Danny Wilson back at the club. Unfortunately, I do not see that happening. He is making a lot more money than we could ever offer him and had been playing for clubs at a much higher level than we are now. If we could get him on a decent salary then I think we would be stupid not to take him but at the current state of the club I do not think we have any chance of signing him.
  9. Gallacher, Curie, Wallace, Macleod, McCulloch, Templeton, Little, McKay - have to stay Crawford, Hemmings, and Naismith I'd love to see more of. I especially want to see more of Hemmings because he has had absolutely no support in the last two games really. He missed a couple of sitters too but I think with more experience playing infront of 44,000 people he will become the player we hoped he would be. Crawford looked good as a substitute but has been completely out of the last two games. Plus they are young and I think they do have potential. Ian Black has been dreadful all season and I was really hoping for more from a player who had previously played in the SPL. He is not worth the money we are giving him and there are definitely players in Division 3 from another club that could do a far better job than him. Kyle Hutton had two or three decent games when he first made it back into the first-team but has done about as much as a donkey's ass the last five or six games. I had high hopes for him but he has become a complete waste of money recently. Shiels lacks consistency. We really don't have a midfield. We don't just need one holding midfielder. We need two or three. Even with Macleod coming back and Shiels there is a lack of quality still even at Division 2 level IMO. How many times in the last game against Montrose did the likes of Hegarty and McCulloch thump the ball up past our midfield? At least he has done something Get him and Alexander out. Too much money on too little quality.
  10. Glody N’Tumba has been banging in loads of goals for the under 17's. I saw the way Kevin Kyle played the other week and was so frustrated by him. I know Glody N’Tumba is still incredibly young but we have had a number of players show already that they are willing and able to make the jump up to first team action. Does anyone else think he should be getting a shot in the reserves and maybe a place on the bench for our first team yet?
  11. After a fantastic result last night we will face either Aberdeen, Celtic, Dundee United, Hearts (SFL3 feeder club) (SFL3 feeder club), Inverness, St Johnstone or St Mirren in the next round. There are no easy games for our side. I think St. Johnstone or St Mirren would arguably be the easier teams to beat. They would be still stiff competition and a loss to these teams still could happen (just look at our loss earlier last week). Personally I would like to see us play Aberdeen or Dundee United. I think they would be really tough tests for our team and our young players. Even if we did lose to these teams it would be a great learning block for our side. I don't think we have the team to compete with Hearts (SFL3 feeder club) (SFL3 feeder club) or Celtic yet. I think they would beat us still, albeit by a small margin, but I still want us to look a decent side. Who would you want us to face in the next round??
  12. How can anyone chose Aird? You haven't seen enough of him in the first team to make a solid judgement on his ability and status in the team yet.
  13. What a horrible injury. The big lad needed a goal or two to settle him at the club. I'm sure he will be ready and willing to show he is worth the contract he is on when he gets back. On a positive note this gives our u20's a shot at the first team as well as Stella.
  14. Here's my ratings: Alexander - 8 Did his job and prevented Motherwell from getting back into the game. A bit closer to the end he began lumping the ball up the pitch a bit too much but apart from that he was excellent. Wallace - 9 Always knew he was going to be a star for Rangers and his physical presence really limited Humphrey down that side. Great game for Wallace. Emilson - 8 Still not the fastest player but looked much sharper tonight. I was incredibly impressed and wish to take back all my criticism of him if he continues to play like he did tonight. Perry - 8 Brilliant night for the young man. Some good tackles and looks like he was back to his top-class self after a far from decent start to this campaign. Faure - 7 Didn't put a foot wrong. Was clean and simple. He's been a fantastic signing. Would have given him a higher score but all the other players just looked fantastic and put in just as good shifts. Aird - 7 Looks like he will become a great player. Think he had a great game against Motherwell. His inexperience did begin to show in the second half as he should have passed a couple times instead of trying to take an extra touch. But honestly I cannot complain since he did almost score as well. Barry McKay and him will be great down the left or right side of the wings. McCulloch - 9 Scored a fantastic header. looked a true rangers captain. MOTM McLeod - 8.5 has maturity way beyond his years. We will be incredibly lucky to keep him as I can see a Premier League team offering good money for him. Hope that doesn't happen because he looks like he will be a future Ranger captain. Argyriou - 7 Had a rough first half but played brilliantly in the second half. He's been another great signing. Shiels - 8 What a goal! I hope he continues to make those impressive runs and continues to score goals for our club. Sandaza - 2 Looked poor in the opening 12 minutes. Hope the big man is ok because he still does deserve a shot. He will be lucky to get into the side though if McCulloch, Shiels, and even Stella start scoring some more. Subs - Hutton - 8.5 Should be playing every week. Looked good. I hope he gets some more game time now. Crawford - 5 Wasn't on long enough to make a huge impact but looked calm and composed which is all I can expect from him. Good substitution getting him into the game. Another player who will be great this season. McKay - 7 Almost scored and was superb in the later stages of the game.
  15. Just playing On a serious note? Anyone want to have a fantasy football league set up for the last 13 weeks? PM me with your e-mail address and I'll set one up.
  16. Anyone who makes Tom Brady do this is my hero even if it is the Cowboys or Eagles...
  17. We have absolutely nothing to lose against Motherwell. As long as we play decent even a loss is a step in the right direction. Still think that we can win if we play our game and I still believe McCoist has put together a team that could be a top 5 side in Scotland.
  18. I think he had a good game. He's been good for us apart from his penalty miss. He's shown that he can do a good job for our team and I look forward to continue to watch him play. He still has a couple errors in his game but that comes down to getting used to playing week in week out with the team. Only Cribari and Sandaza are really worrying of our new signings IMO.
  19. I hate the Cowboys. Being a New York Giants fan and losing to this lot in the opening game of the season was really really bad. No American Football player would know how to play our game because there's no numbers on the pitch to tell you how far away you are from scoring EDIT: if you want to play a game at an NFL stadium it would have to be MetLife stadium. Pretty sure it has been turned into a real football pitch before.
  20. We'd been playing most of the game with 10 men anyway. Sandaza was absolutely awful so at least we managed to play 12 minutes with 11 players!
  21. Didn't Charles Green say that if we wanted the money to go back to the club we should buy directly from the Rangers Megastore? How can we help out our club if we can't make a purchase? I'm honestly getting fed up waiting! I want the away top so badly and wanted to make sure my hard earned money would go back into the club I love.
  22. I honestly thought that the Ranger Megastore website would be up and running by now. Fans outside the UK are still waiting for it to come up so we can get our hands on some goodies and continue to support the club. Surely the long wait for this is going to hurt the clubs revenue and is not good for its image abroad especially when we are at a stage where we are getting a lot of international attention... If Charles Green wants to expand the club (like his trip to China) and increase the clubs fan appeal then surely this is a basic mistake that could have been avoided. What's such the long delay!?
  23. No they would not have been seen as traitors. People would have been upset but we understand that people have short football careers and that they want to continue to compete at top levels AND make money. That's why Maurice Edu will, in my opinion, be welcomed back to Rangers if that were ever an option.
