  1. It would be a different story if I knew we were playing our best team. But we aren't. As much as I dislike Naismith he is still a good player but he was on the bench for our game against Macedonia. Steven Fletcher should be in these games as well and yet he hasn't represented his country in ages. And I look at Lee Wallace and Ian Black and wonder why they aren't getting an opportunity. IMO if they are the best players Scotland has in those positions then Levein should be playing them and it shouldn't matter what division they are playing in. EDIT: And McCulloch should be given a chance to come out of international retirement. He is desperately needed.
  2. This is good news. I hope they continue to show they are worthy of those contracts by showing all the Rangers fans on the pitch what they can do!
  3. I usually buy a new FIFA game every couple years (I have '99, '03, '06) and was planning on picking up a new one (just won a 360) but I was hoping to play in Manager Mode as Rangers... FIFA has lost a lot of its appeal now that I can't play as my team
  4. As long as the rest of Scottish football keeps talking about us then it isn't going to wear off. Here in the United States a lot of talk has been about our club and it's been nice to talk about the SPL and Rangers over the EPL and Spanish League.
  5. Portland Timbers... Home of Kris Boyd!
  6. Love them or hate them? Well I for one love Rangers
  7. I'd prefer that Ibrox remain Ibrox. Rename Murray Park and get that sponsored. I'm sure some companies would love to say that the best Scottish football talent is coming from 'Tennent's Park' or 'SportsDirect Training Ground'
  8. Just finished watching the Elgin City game on RangersTV. Even though we were able to put five goals past Elgin I feel like we are overconfident in our attacking abilities and still need a lot of work in our defensive line. Templeton, McCulloch, Shiels, and Little all looked like they could have added more to our tally of five but there IS a difference between playing Motherwell and Elgin City. This will really be the first true test to see how our new signings will do against SPL opposition. Motherwell are a full-time club so they should be able to compete with our players for the full 90 minutes. Furthermore, even though the goal Elgin scored was marginally offside, they could have scored one or two other goals with a bit of luck. Our defense was atrocious. We cannot rely on luck against teams in the SPL because they will be much more likely to punish mistakes. Emilson Cribari looks extremely nervous at the back, is incredibly slow, and has shown he can sometimes make poor decisions. Ross Perry is clearly not match fit. Lee Wallace and Anestis Argyriou cannot be our only two players that look like good defenders. I was really quite impressed with Sébastien Faure against Falkirk while Hegarty looked quite composed as well. I'm really not a big fan of Emílson Cribari and I do not think he has what it takes to play well against an SPL side. On that note, if our defense can sort itself out then I do believe we have a good chance of beating Motherwell but I do think it will be a close game. I'll be happy with 1-0 or 2-0. I'm just hoping that our side is as good as we think it could be.
  9. When there's about 13% of the world living in that country there is definitely some untapped potential which is why many English Premier League clubs are playing games there in the pre-season. Rangers needs to hold onto a strong local fan base but expand its reach to other areas as well just so people are likely to buy some merchandise!

  11. I would have loved to see Naismith and Templeton both playing for us. The thought of them playing alongside each other wearing the Rangers blue is awesome. Yet it was obviously not meant to be.
  12. I read this as well on some of their forum threads. I really don't understand what they think a boycott would do to Rangers. We have already had 49,000 and 46,000 fans for games against much smaller teams at Ibrox. If no Motherwell fans turn up I would still bet we are likely to get another 46,000 Rangers fans at the game. Not showing up to show some support for their team is just going to hurt Motherwell... not us.
  13. If Motherwell are truly in a financial situation then one game against Rangers is not going to solve that problem. It is merely putting a plaster on a bullet wound. If they are really in a financial situation it won't be long until they face the same possibilities Rangers faced last season and let's see if they have the support to start again in division 3 as well.
  14. Let's not get carried away too much yet. We should be glad that we missed out on Celtic but no SPL team is going to be a walk in the park, even at Ibrox. This will be a real test for us and will go to show how we compare to the team we were able to field last year. If I remember correctly we beat them 3-0 at Ibrox (Healy, Aluko and an OG) but I don't expect it to be that easy this year... 1-0 or 2-1 would do just fine. We have to remember that we lost 20 odd players and though we have replaced a lot of them with SPL quality players our comeback is still a work in progress. What we need to make sure doesn't happen is that we lose by more than 2 goals. I don't think we will but it would be painful as we have been really trying to get behind the team and have been saying we have an SPL quality team. I'd like to remind all Rangers fans that Motherwell have a former Ranger as their manager so let's not abuse him! He was great for us.
  15. When is the Website for the store going to finally be up and running?! People over here in the States are desperate to buy some Rangers goodies and can't!
  16. Hearts (SFL3 feeder club) fans on their forums have even mentioned petitioning the club to change his goal against Liverpool to a Reina OG. Pretty pathetic really...
  17. Everyone knows that if we had even a fifth the funding an average EPL clubs get we could be in the Champions League every season and pushing for a last 16 spot. If we got a fifth their funding we could probably beat and compete with all but the very best in England.
  18. I'm sure Super Ally has already thought of this and I'm sure they are already trying to come up with a new contract for the young man.
  19. That's 10k a week saved He'll do a decent job for a smaller team but I don't think he was ever the best SPL player and I always thought Rangers could get better. But he played for us and I hope he gave it his best. Hope he does well at any other club if he is leaving.
  20. How many times have we been linked to Templeton? It's not going to happen as much as I'd like it to!
  21. He's a good manager. If it hadn't been for our points deduction and the loss of Jelavic I think we would have won the league again last season. He's Rangers to the bone and that's the kind of man any true fan would want managing their club.
  22. What's he trying to say? That he is still somehow connected to Rangers? It's disgusting how he treated the club.
  23. He was a great player for us and I hope he plays well at Everton too. However, if he has another ankle injury I wouldn't feel sad at all for him after what he said about Rangers FC. He was our best player last season until he was injured and the thought of him and Aluko playing together was incredibly exciting... Now I will never get to see that I don't think he could ever return to Rangers
  24. :superally: <--- will lead Rangers back into the SPL with whatever squad he is given and if he is backed by the fans. I have no doubt about that. I understand the concern but I believe this squad is definitely good enough to compete in division 3, division 2 and maybe even division 1.
  25. Sandaza and Kyle have been absolutely terrible so far. I'd give them another week to show that they have the quality to stay in the side and their match-sharpness should be back by then. If they don't play well against Falkirk or Elgin then we need to have McCulloch up front, simple as that. Another striker would be really good. I don't know about this guy though.
