Need more than this though. Its already fairly accepted it was a penalty ( ignoring the offside ) and the offside picture , half an hour later , was a poor attempt to justify it . What we need is to keep pushing for the audio to see how the conversation went . I fear by adding in' future incidents ' and ' all clubs ' , while welcome , opens the door to them settling for just that , and ignoring this one .

Always thought we've struggled after the break for whatever reason . Hope this ones a bit different .

Yeah , pretty much echoes my own thoughts .

It was important not to collapse after last week so it was a good result against a decent team . Thought Ridvan and McCausland were excellent , Dowall was pretty solid and Dessers continues to frustrate where he has some good touches and then dallies too long when given an opportunity. Haven't seen the penalty other than at the game and I'm at the opposite end so not sure of it . All I will say is its a brave ref that overules VAR , or another ref whose watched an incident through various angles , so it's almost a given a penalty would be given . Good to get this one over the line . -
Out of contract / free to talk to other clubs
gmcf replied to PromDeAnglais's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
None of them . Tbf , Lundstrum and Balogun have done alright for us , but we need to freshen the team up with more younger players , ones that we get a turn out off and we sell on for profit , and keeping these players blocks all that. There are others too that need moved , that aren't in the final year of their contract - but that could prove to be a bit more difficult . -
You know for a while I did believe that , but he's not dominant enough. He's no Richard Gough or Terry Butcher or Graeme Roberts .

That's the answer . Be interesting to see why they can't , given you see 6 Nations and World Cups doing it in Rugby .v

I'm going to contradict my post by agreeing with what you say , though I do think they have a stronger mentality than us . On a positive , I dont think we ' bottled ' it , as others have suggested - we have on plenty previous occasions - but this time we were more positive , we handled the volatile atmosphere relatively well and , to me , the difference were they have strikers that score when given the opportunity, we , quite simply , don't. Having said that , we do have a fragility when playing them . We seem to lack that steely determination to win no matter how , which is puzzling given some of the European teams we have beaten the last few seasons . Hopefully PC , will instill this , he certainly seems capable of it .

Right , so it was not offside then . Why goto the bother , halfway through the 2nd half , of rushing out a screenshot with offside lines . The whole thing stinks .
-
Didnt show up today , I'd start Dowell in his place to see how he does .
-
Don't disagree with the OP , think the only time I saw him was when he came on , but to be fair we had bigger players , ones we should be able to count on in big games , that didn't show up today either .

I thought we did relatively well the first half , probably having the most chances . Unfortunately, we conceded straight after HT , which is a crime on these occasions . Didn't really recover after that and Baloguns red card just compounded things . I thought they started panicking after we scored , Unfortunately it was so late that we couldn't capitalise on it . Their big players turned up , ours didn't and that's key to these occasions . Thought Sterland was the only one that competed today . -

We've responded quite well since their goal . Just need to improve our finishing and set pieces . -

Thinking of the positives - hopefully no more injuries , a bit of a break for the players and though I doubt we'd have dropped any points tonight why take the chance with a depleted squad with conditions that are a great leveller . -
Hate talking about these things so early but theyre no great shakes and we've got somebody that knows what he's doing . I dont think anyone could forsee how close we'd be right now just a couple of months ago so let's just say we've got a good chance . More than a good chance .

Seems to be a esl lack of Christmas Cheer in this thread

Good game today , as did Sterling against Betis . Neither as good as Lundstrum has been lately , but their performances has made the impact of missing Lundstrum a lot less than it could have been .

It's kinda seamless . That first half wouldn't have been far away from what we'd have expected had we no injuries . -
Did well again . Even if offside, they were very composed finish for both goals , particularly given the conditions.

Good 1st half . Also positive that players , that yould usually consider squad players like Sterling and Dowall , slotting in like regulars .
