*****The Official Rangers vs Aberdeen match thread*****
cr3_bear replied to .Williamson.'s topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
Big Phil has us back on side with the team again . European group toppers , a trophy back in the cabinet and consistency that has shot us right back into a title race and the fans are responding. Long may it continue I'm quietly confident we are on route to reclaiming the title but remaining wary that it is going to be tight and for me it's still in the balance with momentum on our side at present. If we do just miss out this year as gutting as it will naturally be we have to stick by this guy and give him the chance to build his own team over the summer. -

Still Angry, bitter , inbred as fuck and consumed by the famous Glasgow Rangers Although Warnock's conference had no real bearing on this -

Talks for 750 fans at next two derby matches
cr3_bear replied to RFC55's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
Easy for me to say sitting in opposite end of ground but if I sat in a seat that Rangers had to move me two times a season when we played them I wouldn’t be overly bothered as long as I was guaranteed a ticket elsewhere in the ground -

I don’t get this argument . Rangers supporters are always going to want to go to Parkhead and support Rangers when we play there . It’s not about giving them money . It’s about supporting the team in our biggest away game of the season -

Edmiston House finally opening its doors
cr3_bear replied to esquire8's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
I have only been in SWG3 once about 7 or 8 year ago for a 90’s night can hardly mind much about it but isn’t SWG3 basically a nightclub which picked up and filled the gap in the market left by the arches closing down about a decade ago . I’m not sure why we are comparing and thinking EH can compete with that -

True but it only holds around 6-700 so up and coming bands and generally local are probably going to be the main attraction with those numbers . Bigger and more established bands who decide to do smaller tours already have the barras or 02 academy -

A lot of bands won’t touch it for gigs because of its Rangers connection because a) Scottish music industry tends to be full of them b) they know half their potential crowd won’t buy tickets if it’s at EH -

The only sensible solution is Bonkers Bingo at Edmiston House -
Probably not much separating them over the course of both their history if you look at it up until the mid 90s . However Chelsea pre takeover though were always sniffing about the top 4, cup wins and a European cup winners cup in the decade before it . The Russian money just allowed them to operate and step up a level that was just out their grasp for those few years before hand with Man U and Arsenal City went from bottom half regulars to dominating which is why there money situation seems to be highlighted and used as a stick to beat them with much more than Chelsea’s

Have we played River Plate or Boca Juniors ? I have a feeling we played one of them on an American pre season tour under Mcleish

New Singing Section in Copland Stand

No , the blue order were about before the Union Bears with the same goal of helping tackle the issue of Ibrox atmosphere in run of the mill games. -

Much respect for the UB and what they do and they deserve the move Your point however is just a clash between the traditional and almost hardwired culture of British football home crowds compared to the whole ultra scene. British crowds are reactive to what is infront of them on the pitch or the magnitude of the occasion . It’s why 0-0 borefest can suck the life out a stadium or 3-3 end to enders can spark the stadiums into a frenzy. Or why midweek in Europe under the lights can get us going even pre kick off while the only thing that will spark Ibrox into life for a run of the mill 1-0 win against a ten men behind the ball Livingston is a contentious referee decision. It will take a generation or two to change that and that’s only if the whole Ultra thing even lasts that long in the UK and grows -
Another option is he has allowed the fear of a backlash from Celtic to cloud his judgement . Another option which is not healthy for the game

That is a grown man still haunted and deeply traumatised by the 90s

Never doubted Gios love and commitment to the club gave us some special nights and days at Hampden but the league form could just never get to that consistency required . That’s life and he knows he will always be welcome back and held in high regard at Ibrox in the stands his ending deserved to be far more dignified than the Beale hanging about episode

Mind when the prick was first appearing on to the pundit scene he went after Derek Johnstone claiming he was nothing more than a Rangers mouthpiece live on radio Clyde Ironic now when his career is nothing other than rimming the hole off Celtic on a weekly basis . A one trick pony who once you take away the obvious Celtic bias and anti Rangers waffling offers as much useful input and meaningful debate on football as a wet cloth
