  1. If any Bear in possession of a strong stomach wants to troll through back editions of ra Sellik view from 30-35 years past, then you will be genuinely surprised(maybe not) to see the frequency of photographs of Nuremberg Hugh contained within the pages. You see, back in the day when Easterhouse Rocket-Launchers CSC, ra Balaclava Bhoys CSC, Armalite Amigos CSC, ................ etc had their POTY Dinner/Dance, their preferred choice of main speaker/host was the then Scotsman football scribe, Hugh Keevins. Ra View would have a picture of a smiling Shug at the top table and a few paragraphs of Hugh's speech. Ra unrepentant bold Shug would always conclude his delivery with the rabble rousing, "our day will come". Nuremberg Hugh has been banned from ra Stydome for a year, he is desperate to even up this situation by a banning from Ibrox. I say his Editors at the Daily Record(Alan Rennie) and Radio Snyde(Jim Delahunt) should be doing more to ensure he is allowed to ply his trade. However, both these Sellik supporting clowns do not want to upset Peter. If the Rocket-Launchers csc(it's a real club) ever invite ra Shugster back, it will be for the purpose of target practise.
  2. When consolidating his position at BBC Scotland 3-4 years past, Billy penned an article in the Sunday Herald declaring, "I can no longer consider myself a Rangers supporter". Dodds based this conclusion on his last season at Ibrox. Really, it was an announcement of repositioning to secure continued employment by BBC Scotland. Billy was shouting, 'I am cleansed'.
  3. Padraig 1873, I suspect your name is a homage to the parish priest that ensured you were a regular recipient of facial humiliation? The 1873 bit, perhaps the calendar frequency? Still choking?
  4. It's the very same system employed by PLG during his short tenure. It worked very well in our UEFA Cup run that season, Rangers enjoyed more possession, particularly away from home during the run. I wonder as to the effectiveness of the system when playing Stenhousemuir at Ibrox?
  5. Keevins should have been hunted from Ibrox 10 years past. On the evening of a CL game at the stadium, he broadcast on Radio Snyde immediately after the pre-match ritual of 4 flags being waved(2-club crest flags, one union flag, and one saltire) as three film theme tunes were played over the PA system, "Ibrox is akin to a Nuremberg Rally". The usual suspects on Snyde laughed like drains. Complaints flooded in, Jewish Bears pointed out that the Nuremberg Rallies were deliberately utilised by the Nazis to introduce the Race Laws that saw 6 million Jews marched into the gas chambers. What motivated Keevins to compare an event held over several hours, choreographed tens of thousands bearing a similar number of flags, continuous torchlight parades, ............................... etc, culminating in two hours of narration by Hitler designed to prepare the ground for massed state sponsored murder; with a one minute blast over the PA accompanying four flags? Radio Snyde disciplined Keevins, he was suspended from presenting duties for 6 months. We should NEVER miss an opportunity to remind him of his attempt to marginalise and dehumanise our club, always refer to the hate-filled maggot as, 'Nuremberg Hugh'.
  6. Australia's last remaining pair look likely to survive until lunch. If they require under 50 after lunch, I suspect they will come out slashing and flashing at every ball. The game continues, fabulous test match.
  7. Australia's chances pretty much rest in Haddin's ability to keep the scoreboard ticking over. However, he may run out of partners.
  8. I penned this piece before Danny Wilson signed for Hearts. Since, I have revisited both broadcast and print media's approach to the Tynecastle crisis over the weekend last. It was most low key, BBC Scotland had Gary Locke on their Saturday afternoon panel on Sportsound. Listening to him, he was relaxed. He appealed to his fellow Jambos to keep it going, half way there in required season ticket sales. He explained why the SFA should refrain from further sanctions, punished twice and thrice does not help Scottish football. His fellow contributors murmured consent and Tom English presented a bright future for Hearts under the Foundation of Hearts/Edinburgh businessmen consortium. Tom congratulated the approach and in bringing political influence to bear. In summing up, the shrill approach of previous weekends was absent. I wonder if assurances were sought and given? Have Hearts been the recipients of a nod to carry on, knowing further sanctions by the SFA/SPFL will not be forthcoming, Danny Wilson's signature would suggest that might be the case.
  9. Such testament reinforces something we all know to be true, the Rangers are a dynamic.
  10. This time last year, it was a case of enduring the constant artillery of 'say no to newco', 'sporting integrity', 'consequence and contrition', and 'cheating on an industrial scale'. The Rangers Tax Case blog provided the catechism and the usual suspects in both broadcast and print media lustfully chorused. The Rangers hating fully segged jackboot was on our collective throat and the screaming demand was to extinguish the club by pressurising Regan to deny our club a license. This summer, the artillery is more sporadic, Charlotte Fakes does not possess the penetrative qualities of the RTC blog(whatever became of that particular crib sheet). A rationalisation has occurred and the usual suspects utilising revisionism have decided upon a course of repositioning. Both misinformation and disinformation remain the weapons of choice, but the reality of 'Sell Out Saturday' and 'Scottish football does not need Rangers' is a bleak one. The continuing situations at Hearts and Dunfermline are inconvenient, particularly the machinations at Tynecastle. The boys in maroon are being portrayed as innocents abroad, suffering at the hands of dastardly Lithuanians. Further, Jambos have accepted responsibility and are being provided with the necessary leadership courtesy of the Foundation of Hearts. Oh, and the talk of the toon are not blaming media elements. Sympathy is being chorused and the descant is a plea for the SFA(Regan) to neither impose a transfer embargo, nor fine the club. Last Saturday on BBC Radio Scotland, Stuart Cosgrove echoed the above sentiments, "there is no comparison". Jum Spence reinforced the message, "Rangers went into liquidation", and Tom English concluded, "the situations are not comparable". Tom adhered to the given on-message line by penning a piece midweek in the Hootsman, explaining why there is No Comparison'. The occasional e-mail/text by a Bear disagreeing is read out and suffers derisory dismissal. Yesterday, Cosgrove began with the new message, 'Get Real'. Scottish football supporters must get real, accept smaller squads, lower wages, stand closures, senior players leaving in pursuit of greater remuneration, ................... etc. The bitter pill of 'Get Real' began at 12.02hrs; however, a sweetener arrived at 12.04hrs, "Nicky Law comparing Rangers to Man' United, he needs to get real too". An awkward correspondent pointed out the failure of Sell Out Saturday with the exception of Ibrox. Immediately, another e-mail claimed everybody knew Ibrox was only full because Rangers regularly handed out thousands of free tickets to schoolchildren to fill the seats. As stated, mis' and disinformation. Get Real sounds like a euphemism for 'Armageddon', but remember that is a verboten word. Cosgrove, Spence, English, ....... et al were strict adherents to the RTC blog, it won the Orwell prize. I wonder if they realise their constant indulgence in Newspeak this summer? Who's mantelpiece does the Orwell Prize sit on? Remember, the RTC blog was disappeared within hours of Rangers winning the big tax case. The revised reality was predicted but ignored because booting the fcuk out of Rangers was just too much fun. Another aspect of Get Real is Cosgrove repositioning himself as a victim. Glasgow taxi drivers are abusing him because, "I took a principled stand". Jum Spence fashions all comments on Rangers with the prefix, "from the safety of the east coast". Get Real is the latest lifeboat on an ocean of No Comparison. The reality of the rescue service that is the Rangers support is unwanted and unacknowledged. This time next year, the waves generated by the Rangers support will see them all clinging to a rocky outcrop. Saying No to No Comparison will accelerate that warm piece of mental imagery.
  11. Peter likes Doncaster, he confirmed this when the 12-12-18 proposal hit the buffers, "Neil did everything possible to push this through,no one could have worked harder". Just like Stewart Regan's tenure is assured because he remains Peter's man; then Doncaster is a shoo-in for the job.
  12. Of course, the Dead Sea Scrolls are still being translated. The latest revelations emanate from the 1st Book of FenianBaptistry, "Parlane is the King of Ibrox Park". I have always thought the conclusive evidence lay in the Nazarene ordering Bears' Pakora at the last supper.
  13. I note the usual suspects are NOT demanding that all Jambos MUST show CONTRITION! This time last year, Cosgrove, Spence, McLaughlin, English, Grant, ..................... et al chorused from the RTC Blog and demanded CONTRITION from all Bears. I suspect CONTRITION has joined 'say no to newco', sporting integrity, and 'strip the titles' in the blue nowhere of cyber space? Simply, they've had their fun.
  14. The lunch of Champions : Nandos mixed olives, Nandos humus with harissa sauce, and Nandos ratatouille.
  15. Don't sweat it mate, your DNA(National Association of Dyslexics) will provide the necessary support.
  16. I am all for unification of the various Rangers supporters groupings. However, in the spirit of the original post, I insist on a couple of addendums to my participation. 1. Having read both Jonathon Swift and watched the Wizard of Oz, I will have no truck with an organisation that allows left handed midgets to participate. Those Lollipop Guild characters are most unsettling. 2. Andy Cameron must be banned any involvement.
  17. The SPL TV Rights Committee knows all the answers, they're just not sharing the information. In fact, no one knew that such a committee existed until a photograph of Neil Doncaster and Peter Lawwell moving through Departures at Glasgow Airport towards a London bound plane, appeared on a social network site. By the time the plane arrived, Neil announced that he and Peter had been tasked by said committee to meet Sky to thrash out details of current deal. Thus, who else serves on this committee? Further, what are the terms of the deal? Oh, maybe a Stewardess on the flight took the minutes of the committee's inaugural meeting. We should find her, she will know the details.
  18. The Gibson Street Gala Committee's stance now appears to be one of 'inconvenience'. The very facts that the McNeils resided in Gibson Street when founding our club and their choice of training area, the West End Park(now Kelvingrove Park) has a gate on Gibson Street are deemed awkward. Let's deny or ignore our inconvenient provenance. Why not embrace it?
  19. I have read this thread and was genuinely non-plussed that such a call imparting such pernicious information would be tolerated. Of course, it's Radio Snyde and a bit of digging informs me that last night's 'objective Host of ra Show' was Gerry McCullough. Yep, that Gerry McCullough who hosted 'Tic Talk' on ra Sellik TV for a few years. Anything negative about Rangers and Rangers supporters is always reinforced by Gerry adding, "ah can see your point".
  20. I am hearing the Casting Director is interviewing both Chris McLaughlin and Andy Serkis(Gollum) for the starring role of intrepid BBC Scotland Chief Football Reporter, Chris McLaughlin. Of course, Marty Feldman has been cast as Craig Whyte.
  21. I suggest a subscription fund. The purpose to raise monies to erect a statue of His Peterness, to be situated in George Square. Replete in jackboots, firm jaw to the fore, right arm raised, and facing a cool Nordic breeze. Of course, Robert Mugabe(Jesuit Marxist) should unveil.
  22. You've gotta hand it to His Peterness, working Doncaster and Regan, ensuring both print and broadcast media stay on-message; whilst travelling back and for the to North Korea, providing constant consultancy to Kim Jong-un on totalitarianism.
  23. I penned this piece several years past. It was an article originally posted on FollowFollow.
