It's not as simple as that. We cannot register anyone who is not out of contract on September 1st. If we pay them a "salary" rather than say expenses we risk it being ruled they were contracted to us It's not worth it It must be easy to get round by for example a signing bonus of 3 months wages or similar
Are we 100% certain about this. As I understood it the only people who can be registered outside a transfer window are those who are not under contract at that date. I cannot believe we will be stupid enough to pay them before that and risk somebody ruling they were contracted to us due to these payments.
I would have thought if we backdated wages to before September 1st it could be claimed they were not "free" on that date and therefore not eligible to be registered until the January window. I would much prefer not to give anyone an excuse to whinge to the SFA about it because you never know how they would interpret it.
Sorry but that is bollocks The idea that guys who earn in a week or two what everyone else earns in a year need to move to "provide for their families" is pish. As has been pointed out many many times they would have been earning the same as before because of TUPE. The next argument about "damage to career" was also bollocks as we could never have afforded to keep them and so would have transferred them very quickly but at least would have gotten some cash for them. It was all about greed on their part
The way I read the Davis move was that he walked out the same as the rest but that Southampton offered money when Green said he would challenge the moves. If that is the correct version then Davis showed no more regard for us than the others. If not then my apologies to him.
I have never met Neil Lennon either and think he is also a shit . I have never met Craig Whyte and think he is a shit. You get the point yet about not having to meet someone to have an opinion?
He was a good manager if not a human being but he certainly did carry his share of luck. Two of the luckiest CL wins in the history of the competition. In the treble year a 4-0 Bayern win would not have been unjustified. Arsenal missing a last minute penalty in the FA cup semi the same year as Bayern got robbed Very very late goals ( they don't call it Fergie time for nothing) due to bullying the officials
New series starts very soon. Saw a trailer for it earlier today see http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2319653/Alex-Skarsgard-goes-shirtless-character-deals-assault-vampire-kind-new-True-Blood-trailer.html
Who says everyone need be sacked There will no doubt be good people there in many positions It could be as simple as someone at the top setting a new direction or coming up with a new training plan
