So basically the five way agreement was not a "legally binding" requirement of us joining they just made it up. So we are back to WHO gave the SPL the power to veto us. If Annan did not need their agreement then neither should we. As for the licence issue the SFA had the power to transfer the licence at their ( NOT THE SPLs) discretion according to their rulebook so back to square one

So when Annan joined the bottom tier the SPL held meetings to approve this and demanded money for letting them in. Never heard it mentioned before

The issue should not be who suggested what or who agreed or not to give up the money. The real issue is WHY did the SPL have any say on what club was allowed to join the SFL in the first place? Exactly how did it concern them? Who gave them this power to veto our application to a completely separate body? Those questions are the ones I would like answered before I worry about whether we agreed to give up the money.

I have seen it put about that players who "sign a precontract deal" are not considered eligible for signing outside the windows ( could be incorrect) I sincerely hope someone has checked and double checked, then got assurances in writing for good measure, that all of those players can be registered on Sep 1st because it is starting to look like we have made some excellent choices here.
