  1. UFC on Versus 2 is tomorrow night (Thursday), with Kampmann vs Sanchez main event. Also Munoz vs Dolloway, Sakara vs Wiedman(?) and Bowles vs Page. UFC on Versus There are 2 free streaming fights on Facebook, with Castillo vs Stevenson and Diabate vs Cantwell. Live on Facebook No real stars on this card, but should be a good night of fights. In Strikeforce the heavyweight tournament second round has been pushed back, With Diaz vs Daley and Melendez vs Kawajiri replacing it. Diaz vs Daley Also, the fighters for this season's TUF have been announced TUF 13
  2. Its beond me that AJ still fights at WW. Im sure he was around 7 lbs overweight in the Yoshida fight. Rumble far left lol: Bear in mind thats a MW and a huge LHW there with him. Unreal! He looks like Sean Kingston in that pic.
  3. I said he was going to end up looking stupid. Talked his way on to the card a la McCorkle. A prelim fighter, nothing more.
  4. That Ebersole chap isnt technically perfect, but i look forward to seeing him again. He kept putting his head in perfect position for Lytle to work the guillotine, didnt give a fuck. He may be unchokeable.
  5. I know, his record is like 4-6 Daley has brick fists for sure, Diaz for the win in that one though.
  6. I thought the game started at 7.45, so i missed it all. Apart from the goal
  7. If you want to watch the Countdown to 127, you can do so here; Part One Part 2 Always gets me looking forward to an event more, even if its mostly full of shit.
  8. Think it will go that way too, but Little Nog cant be counted out. He gave Shogun all he could handle not so long ago. Good fight, much rather this than Ortiz.
  9. You should try watching it, I wasnt interested in it until 2 years ago. Up til i actually gave it a chance I was (and still am) a huge boxing fan. I thought it was boring, fools laying on each other
  10. there are a couple of these im sure. Jorge is going to look stupid after the fight imo! Bellator have signed Marlon Sandro from Sengoku Marlon Sandro Good signing for them, he is a good fighter.
  11. Not sure I want him in charge at all. I would like to see us get a radical shake up, bring in a European. Then again, this made us worse last time.
  12. Inspired by the boxing news thread, and since we have a few MMA fans on here, I thought I would give it a go. I will try and update as often as possible. I will start with news from the past couple of days. UFC 127 is this Saturday, from Australia. It looks like a couple of title shots may be on the line (though I suspect Dana White is just hyping the event), George Sotiropoulos is on a 7 fight win streak and could get his shot with a win over Dennis Siver. But with Maynard, Pettis and perhaps Jim Miller ahead of him in the queue, seems a bit unlikely a win over Siver would get him a crack at the title. Best he can hope for is a number 1 contender fight imo. Link BJ Penn faces off against John Fitch, with a shot at the title also apparently up for grabs. With GSP vs Silva in the pipeline for this year (assuming GSP defeats Shields), there may be more truth in this. Link In other news, Tito Ortiz is out of his bout with Little Nog at UFN 24, citing a bad cut as the reason. Phil Davis had been scheduled to face Matt Hammil originally at UFC 129(Hammil is now facing Rampage Jackson at 130) then Jason Brilz after Hammil was shifted, but now steps in to take on Antonio Rogerio Nogueira. Little Nog vs Davis Hammil vs Jackson Also there are the rumours that Thiago Silva has failed a drug test after his UFC 125 bout with Brandon Vera. This is the reason Hammil stepped in for him vs Rampage. Kenny Florian has announced a drop in weight to 145, and will face Diego Nunes at UFC 131. Florian vs Nunes Tanks for reading(if anyone does )
  13. I am sure these younger guys all harbour dreams of playing against them. Sounds stupid, but I would give every ounce of my effort if given the chance to play for Rangers. I suspect it would be the same for a young player trying to prove himself, can the current established guys say the same? Not after yesterday imo. Give the young guys a chance. We will be back no doubt, at this point I just don't see how.
  14. What really got to me yesterday was the way we rolled over, admitted defeat too easily. Tactics are poor, our overall mentality is far too defensive - we park players behind the ball, yet somehow the Celtic players found time and space. Players seemed to do what the fans did at the game - Stand and watch the filth play football. We need a rapid change in mentality, especially against them. We all seen how they crumbled in Europe when put under a bit of pressure from an attacking side. Far, far too much respect is given to our opposition. Today i am sad.
  15. Theres a chance he might never have become the player he is at Rangers. And we may get close to that in sell on clauses anyway.
  16. Watching the game last night, i started to think about Adam where he was with us, and where he is now. On one hand it kind of pisses me off that we let him go so easily, but not many complained at the time. I didn't. He wasn't exactly an integral part of the team, and got a lot of stick. His first season under PLG showed he had talent and real promise, but somehow seemed to get lost along the way (like other prospects in the past few years - Burke, Hughes, Smith etc.) It happens at all levels of the game. Players show early promise, only to fade away as time goes on. Usually these players have success elsewhere, but few become good enough to be courted by the biggest teams in the top league in the world (Rino apart). But Charlie was sold for a small fee, only to become a supposed 10m pound player. Part of me wonders why we didn't see the ability in him, and give him an extended run in the side. Sure, in games he failed to excite, but surely something can be spotted in training to see that he may just need a little time. However, on the flip side, he may have reached his peak with Rangers, and pastures new was just what he needed. Even if he did fulfil his potential here, how long would we have been able to keep him? We are never guaranteed a big fee for our players. Either way, I am enjoying seeing Adam playing well. Now he looks a real classy midfielder, with a belter of a left foot who can dominate games against big teams if on song. I reckon if we had given him a bit more support(although he didn't help himself at times) then we could have helped him realise his potential. It'd be interesting to see what others think. But if my Aunt had baws she'd be my Uncle.
  17. Bones isn't on shogun's level. Maybe karma coming to bite rashad in the ass?
