For the home nations it is but the big players are taking it more seriously than ever. France Spain and Germany have all spent massive resources and time restructuring youth development with ten year plans, all for the sole purpose of winning international tournaments. There is nothing bigger than the World Cup- not even the Olympics generates the same level of investment and attention. A Team GB could win it.

After last nights shameful and utterly inept display by both the bigots in the stands and the team on the park is it now time to seriously consider disbanding the SFA. A GB team (playing in the colours of our Union Flag) based at Wembley but with the option of taking games to Hampden, Ibrox and The Millenium Stadium and singing God Save The Queen would be a National team we could all support. It would be a great way of uniting our nation in the same way that the Olympics effectively killed any sense of seperatism. One league structure for our game. One FA. One National team. Imagine the pride of the whole of the UK when Team GB wins a major tournament. Is this a goer. I beleive so.

We are an enormous club. Not just in Scotland but globally. Everyone recognises and respects our brand and acheivements and outwith the provincial mindset in our own country we are easily seen as one of the biggest clubs to ever grace the game. There is no way that this monster of a club of ours is neither viable or sustainable. Keep calm and keep the faith. The usual scare stories emanating from our enemies are not to be concerned about. All we are seeing is a power struggle for control of a footballing giant.

Just heard on the radio some female from motherwell saying that they have been invited to become full members of the ECA. Surely not! But my question is this: Seeing as the ECA have recognised our continuation and have therefore continued our membership (founding members I believe) does this mean that Scotland now has 3 members in the ECA? Wouldn't be surprised if this turns out to be total shite tbh.
