  1. Agreed. Reads like they totally disrespected the club and made no effort to resolve the issue expecting as you say to railroad us in to their deal. Also looks like the club has all their ducks in a row as far as this matter goes…
  2. Before the performance from Clancy that day, I had no inclination of referees being nothing more than inconsistent at best and incompetent at worst. That day I have no doubt Clancy cheated, it’s there for all to see clear as day…
  3. No, but it’s another case of them failing to follow due process which in turn again highlights their incompetence…
  4. Which should have been a given in this arbitration process and ridiculous it had to be granted via legal action. You really have to wonder about the actual drivers in the SPFL/ SFA decision making, refreshing to see them being taken to task (in full public view) on something that should never have been allowed to develop…
  5. Think so speedy and decisive, regardless of the differing opinions of the action taken this kills the further reputations damage of being dragged on the radio and MSM platforms night after night. No doubt that the usual and expected loudmouths and their fans will attempt to give this as much longevity as possible but the club have acted strongly and cannot be accused of otherwise.
  6. Detrimental Rangers posts popping up on FB and Twitter from people who have been anonymous since it became evident we were strolling our way to the title last year, I’m sure I’ll not be the only one in here that’s had this. Well that saying regarding “people in glass houses…” comes to mind or the self awareness to realise that they are still very much untested in the league after 1 win against a dire Dundee side and should let the dust settle before setting themselves up for more humiliation…
  7. The league is the only path open to us now, had a ridiculous start to this season both domestically and in Europe but it’s done now and can’t dwell on it except for the analysis of improvement going forward. As for the players then Gerrard will have to get a grip and good as they’ve been last year very few of them will got nowhere near the CL in future if they move on
  8. Most relevant and true post I’ve read in weeks in the forum, as per last year the one and only priority should be winning the league (56). Complaining about not winning either of the cups last season (true as it was) was a luxury given the consequences of not winning 55. The financial windfall in not taking this seasons flag does not bare thinking about…

  10. And unfortunately not surprising, not for the first time from them and certainly won’t be the last…
  11. I know mate, petty… Think he just reminded me of someone I had the misfortune of working with a few years back after watching that video. Probably directing my dislike for him in my comment, now there was an unprofessional smarmy twat. In hindsight I should had taken a breath:-)…👍
  12. We certainly do, but there is professionalism and a time and a place for that type of smarm. Hopefully this will be one he’ll be regretting come 22hrs tomorrow…
  13. No your right mate, may have been an off day for them but on evidence of their organisation, application, drive and general performance from yesterday, they are in for a long old hard season. A much needed shot in the arm for celtic but imo it’s papered over cracks that any team with some quality and application can and will take advantage of…
  14. Curious at the score-line I watched highlights of the game. I have no issue giving credit where it’s due (even to them on occasion) however from what I witnessed, the performance (I’ll be polite using that word) afforded by that Dundee 11 yesterday was abysmal, all over the place. Saying that, they still scored six but if that’s the standard of play Dundee have came to this league they will be departing it again sooner rather than later…
  15. Just about covers it…
  16. Didn’t realise they (Dundee) were that bad and I’m not for watching them today to find out…
  17. Exactly mate, wasn’t expecting anything other than them to turn Dundee, but would also not be surprised if the loose a goal or two either (although not having seen Dundee so far I don’t know how capable or otherwise up front). Teams like Aberdeen and Hib's from what I’ve seen of them so far will definitely cause them defensive issues. As for ourselves I’m not happy about how this campaign has begun but in the grand scheme of things I’m not worried as I do believe we will pick things up…
  18. Exactly, puts in to perspective today’s result with some of the ott txts on here and beyond. Undoubtedly a bad result bringing a ‘40’ game unbeaten run to the end (major achievement in itself) sure we’ll bounce back but in comparison with having a loved one I’ll in hospital (never mind a child) it’s literally inconsequential. Best wishes to the Roofe family and fingers crossed for a speedy recovery…
  19. It’s their ‘go to’ default position where they revel and continue the ‘Irish’ persecution fantasy, even through their recent spell of dominance the ‘victim’ mantra has been bubbling just below the surface surfacing at any lame excuse (in their eyes anyway)…
  20. Surely even the most anti Rangers clubs must now be realising that in business (which football very much is now) good financial planning, procedure and governance outweighs any personal bias or loathing (I use these words after consideration as I personally believe them to be true), outstripping their reoccurring incompetence they are really not doing a value for money job and it needs addressed for the good of the whole game here. Things will no doubt eventually come to a head, whether this is the catalyst I don’t know but it will be sooner rather than later imo…
  21. If they were anywhere near competent this should have been reviewed before they signed the deal in the first place, total embarrassment as a governance body and certainly not geared to benefit all member clubs…
  22. Exactly, we can speculate about the who and what regarding what contract would be breached all we like on this thread, what is relevant is that in the letter released by the club it was highlighted to the SPFL prior to the deal being signed that there would be a legal issue, which they chose to ignore. Not only is this again disrespectful to the now reigning champions (one of many) but I don’t see us digging our heels in over something like this without solid legal advice that we have a strong case to defend. The club has been criticised by many on this forum for inaction many times but it would appear the board are picking the fights they may be confident of winning…
  23. Absolutely, I was speaking about this recently. They basically inherited ‘republican leaning’ votes after the Labour collapse, it also speaks volumes about the culture of that party (SNP) when not one of their elected members is a Rangers fan (actually gives them kudos to be overtly anti Rangers it would seem). Then again, put a chimp on a podium with their rosette on and their cult will vote for it. Sadly it’d probably bring more intelligence to the table than is currently there…
