No matter what anyone feels about Coisty as a manager it's simply been impossible to plan for the long term after what's happened to the club since May 2011. - The tax case. - Whyte - Green - Fan boycotts - Rangers fans goading each other on message boards - Never ending Financial problems - Losing all our best players in the summer of 2012 for nothing - Attacks from the press that never stop - Ahmad taking the club to court - Emergancy share issues - Burning £70m in under two years - No proper scouting system for the last two years And about a million other things that have gone on in such a short space of time. We've probably been through more in the last 3 years than most clubs have in the last 50.

Scottish football really is one load of pish on a par with the Irish league at the minute. Hamilton top of the SPL after 9 games? Think they had something like 250 season ticket holders last year. Results still funny though..... :-)

Boyd, Daly and Clark should have had 6 goals between them today strikers are way off form at the minute.

Our real problem is we still need millions more from a share issue really does not matter if we are 15 points clear by the turn of the year we will end up in admin if that money is not brought in. Fans of both sides of this divide should stop having a go at each other and focus on avoiding admin 2 we ain't out of the woods by a long shot.

I don't think he needs or wants the Rangers job and all that comes with it he has an easy time of it right now on big wages why put yourself through that kind of hassle? Other Candidates are few and far between right now really can't think of anyone who can 100% guarantee success with this group of players.

Davies is a decent shout but the guy would not last 2 months before having a bust-up with the Rangers board.

Strachan would not come near Rangers after managing them for a few years. The guy would have to be mad to manage two auld firm clubs and the grief that would come with that. Also with some of his family caught waving IRA flags at septic games the mHedia would have a field day. Even if he wanted to come to Rangers the money needed to buy him out of the big SFA contract he has would be way beyond what Rangers can pay.

You can pretty much rule out Mcinnes and McCall as the clubs they are at won't let them go without compensation being paid. Would have to be someone out of a job and the only name that comes to mind realistically is Billy Davies and the board won't touch him as he has a history of speaking out against people running the clubs he has been at. Big Eck has already been through the mill at Rangers before so can't see him coming back for seconds. No real outstanding candidates right now tbh.

Butcher has burned his bridges with a large part of the support after playing the Sectarianism card over the years. Some of the stuff he has said about Rangers would not look out of place on some beast forum. The second he got the job all these quotes would be splashed over the rags the next day, also he's pretty s*** as a manager as well how many times has he been sacked now?

Not the time to throw a young inexperienced manager into the mix with all the problems at Rangers right now.

The worry for me is who would want to take on this job at the minute? - No money to spend on players. - No guarantee the club won't go into admin this season. - Fans groups at war with each other. - New gaffer being asked to win the SPL next season on a shoestring budget if promoted. - A media activlly Working to destroy the club. - A board who go from one financial blunder to the next. - Club unwilling to defend itself. The guy who takes over from Ally better have a very thick skin cause unless serious money is brought in it's fighting for a European place tops over the next 3-5 years.

Meh...... Since this was a Daily rebel blog I would have been shocked if it had been anything other than a hatchet job if it been anything else it would never have seen the light of day. Still can't for the life of me understand why Rangers forums allow people to post anything that rag says or prints. Every time something like this is posted it no doubt generates extra hits for the DR website from not just Rangers fans but other fans as well and that puts money in their pockets. We are partially feeding the frenzy by posting stuff like this, best way to stop it is hit them in the pocket. No newspaper sales and no links or articles posted which give them hits. The bias would end very quickly if Rangers fans hit them where it hurts most.

That's one player out of 11 the rest had European and SPL experience under their belts and were playing at a much higher level of football and being tested every week. And I'm not pissing over anyone just stating the fact that the young players were not good enough to 100% guarantee winning the two bottom leagues as that result showed.

You want more than winning SFL3 and League one by over 70 points in two season's? From the way you talk it's like we won the these leagues on goal difference on something. As for players being complacent that's not really a shock when the team is 30-40 points clear in the league is it? Temps was always a hit and miss player from his time at Hearts the type of player who could play one great game then 2 bad games or vice versa. And what's Wallace being mad about being sold anything to do with Ally? Will ask the question again how do you make a player worse?

Rangers cup record against them was pish long before Ally got the job think since the 2000/1 season we've beat them only twice in the Scottish/league cups and one was a penalty shootout. Also the young players they had were playing European football and SPL teams our guys were playing amateurs and winning the league after 3-4 games not hard to see why DU would have an advantage in terms of competive football.

Total jackanory stuff if Rangers were still in the SPL guys like Law and Black etc would have been cleaning boots not playing first team at Rangers they are not and never will be great players. At best they are stop gaps to get the club back up the leagues ASAP. The second reason guys like these were signed was to sell season tickets cause believe me you won't get 38,000 turning up to watch Kyle Hutton and Darren Cole every week. We saw from the Forfar game just how poor our supposed group of young world beating kids were so it's not really a shock he brought in more experienced players to get the job done.

So you honestly believe that after going down to SFL3 and losing about 20 first team players for nothing Ally should have put together a collection of free transfers that would be good enough in 4 years time to beat a team who's wage bill is probably 3-4 times bigger than Rangers? Even if he did pull off this minor miracle these players if they were so great would have been out of contract and left for England for more money anyway.

It is daft and not comparing like for like, of course a Bosman signed on £50,000 a week is going to be a good player give me a list of great Bosmans on £3-5k a week then you'll prove me wrong. Tell me something what exactly did Ally do to Temps and Wallace to make them worse? Does he knee cap them in training or something?

Bit of a daft argument as the Bosmans you listed are way out of Rangers price range and are/were on many more thousands a week more than Rangers paid out for Black and Law etc. Oh and I wonder how many of them wanted to play in SFL3 sure it was a dream for all of them growing up?

Guess you can live in 1990s and pretend we have players who cost multi-millions or live in the real world of 2014 where we have a team filled with cheap SPL Bosmans. Expecting the same level of performance from a £4m international and a free transfer is just crazy.

This is why Ally can't win either way this thread is filled with posts about how crap a signing Shiels is then a few posts later it's why is he not playing the guy? As for Daly what's the point in giving him the ball at his feet and expecting him to run past 5 defenders and hit one one into the net from 30 yards. It ain't going to happen so playing to his strengths is probably more advisable.
