I know mate. But I honestly believe that’s half the problem now. There was a time when you had to absolutely smash someone to get a Yellow never mind a Red. Cards are shown now for fun, and on a lot of occasions for nothing of note.

How do you know if they have no intention of going for the ball? How do assess a level of cynicism?

Both will be appealed and probably downgraded. So most likely neither will be missing because of today.

As has been said many times before, zones don’t score goals - players do. Man for man at set pieces is a must for me.

I’m not sure mate, as I didn’t see the footage. But possibly it could be the fact that he came back from an offside position itself. Who knows nowadays. Happy that it stood on this occasion though.

Don’t know mate, I didn’t see the TV highlights. I’m at the wrong end of the ground as well to see if it was backwards or not.

Is that right? Never thought you could be offside from a backwards pass, as the rule is you have to be closer to an opponent’s goal line than both the ball and the second last player (or wording like that). So if the ball comes back the way, you physically couldn’t be closer to their goal line and therefore not offside. Or has something changed?

I obviously disagree with his assessment of our chances. But, he really cannot think that the sheep and that lot from Dundee will win the cups. Comedy gold.

He was okay mate, but why he decided to try and clear the cross for the goal with his left foot is beyond me. Any type of attempt with his right foot would probably result in a block or at least enough to put their player off. Shocking decision from an international player.

But yet many on here still back him. 6 yards out, McLaughlin would have been all over that.

I’m not sure that’s true to be honest. I agree we should have a top keeper. But, McGregor has cost us points this season as well as saving us at times. I don’t see McClaughlin (spelling) as a downgrade. Just my opinion though.

I’d be happy with either mate. I’ve been an advocate of McGregor being demoted for sometime. As you say, McCrorie didn’t let us down when give a chance but neither has McClaughlin (spelling) on a more regular basis. Purely on that the latter gets my vote.

He’s never let us down. I really can’t see why he shouldn’t be.
