No. We saw tonight that our players just aren't good enough. Not the garbage that has been playing all season and not the garbage that replaced them. We need a complete overhaul. We need a whole raft of new players. There really is NO other solution.

Most accurate post on here. We are abysmal up front. So much possession against a very very poor side and we hardly troubled them. I can't understand how this is progress. We conceded as soon as they went up the park, and I thought it was very poor goalkeeping. On that front we are going to be in trouble until Bell gets back.

We are absolutely pathetic. Hibs didn't seem to get out of 2nd gear. We are diabolical at the front - no creativity, no pace. We are a shambles at the back. They go up the pitch once in the second half and the result is a goal.

It wasn't really. Hibs are a very inconsistent side. Tonight they had an off night and still beat us. We had a lot of possession 2nd half in particular, but did nothing, absolutely fuckin nothing with it. I don't think we have anyone to call on within our ranks to improve this. We are in complete disarray and after that I can only see things getting worse. This is what it has come to.

I agree with all of that, but I am wary of a knee jerk reaction that will see a raft of youngsters suddenly forced into the first team - along with these Newcastle guys (who are not, I think, world beaters). Immense pressure would be placed on them, and I can easily see them completely crumbling.

Have heard this kind of thing repeatedly over the last few years regarding our young players. I think he will be a good player, but at what level remains to be seen. You can be sure of one thing though, Murdoch and others who are sitting on the sidelines would do better than the guys who are getting the nod.

I don't think we have a very high standard of youngsters. That's what I'm saying - it isn't tactics or not picking the right players. All our players are very poor indeed. We are a terrible football team right now. Too early to judge the Newcastle lads obvs, but I'm not optimistic about them either.

I'm not expecting much from the loanees. Both these guys looked very ordinary, and the guy Streete doesn't seem interested at all. I think the whole thing is a huge waste of time.
