  1. OK sure he's only had 2 seasons in management, but they were 2 outstanding seasons. Asking for someone who is as talented, plays great football and is hugely experienced mght be a big ask to come manage in the Scottish Championship. You have Ancelotti in mind?
  2. Owner is a headbanger. He's structuring a new management infrastructure based around a mathematical algorithm, i think that also extended to picking the team. Warburton was on a 1 year rolling contract and seen it out.
  3. Mark Warburton: 1/2 David Weir: 5/2 Derek McInnes: 4/1 Alex McLiesh: 6 Sttuart McCall: 8 Billy Davies: 14 Felix McGath: 14 Dick Adovcaat: 16 Ian Cathro: 16 Looks like bookies confident it will be Mark, possibly taking Davie Weir with him as Assist. Manager? Warburton has an impressive CV, he's occupied different roles in the game, in development, he established a European u21 competition named NExtGen which was defunct when UEFA finally created an official one. He held a Director of Football role before his great success at Brentford, gaining them promotion to the Championship last season, then reach the playoffs this season with an outstanding 5th place finish. His 2 seasons in charge, with Daie Weir his no.2, a 52% win rate, with a small club in 2 hugely competitive leagues.
  4. Yesterday the chapter finally ended. I guess it's fitting that te HMRC, BTC & insolvency all took place under McCoists tenure. May as well have gotten all that out the way while we had the worst ever "manager" at the helm, would have been harder to take if it all happened during Smith's successes. Thanks to Stuart McCall, clearly not the man and tactically inept, but he showed up in his paramedic's uniform and did his best to save our season, but proved near impossible. All the best. Mr Brightside Loyal... I was keen on getting that record of winning every trophy available, we know have the chance to rebuild, to win the Championship & challenge cup. Yesterday for me closed the chapter on the worst period of our history that I can remember, It was the final act of McCoist's tragedy, and also the worst season I can possibly remember, fuckin miserable. Next season, we'll have new players, new management and have a new regime, tomorrow is a new day.
  5. What you gonna do if Motherwell score? Rip up a bit of paper just act like you're annoyed because you had another first goalscorer
  6. Wallace is a LB, Ferguson LW. Play them both.
  7. Boyd is bald and has a beard, he regularly wins headers and flick-ons. Nicky Clark is small, short black hair, he's the guy who regularly has the ball crossed to him, right over his head. Hope that clears it up for you
  8. It's amazing how football, even at FA level, is run by these pishy old pensioners, all over the world. I'm not Platini's biggest fan but at least he's made his way in the game and worthy of the position he holds. I'd like to see characters like Perluigi Collini, Sir Alex Ferguson etc... in footballs top jobs. Men with the best interests of the game, and understanding of the game, at heart. FIFA is like a job for politicians where they can get paid millions for having some sponsorship contacts and lobbying votes.
  9. I like Mitchell. Linares is lightning but he's a bit Amir Khan in the sense that he's 1 dimensional with his speed and doesn't like getting hit. Gets cut easily, Mitchell by late tko on cuts.
  10. Boyd should be the first name on the team sheet.
  11. Sorry to hear that bud, get some right roasters at the game. I don't have any kids but if I did id be embarrassed by the behaviour of some grown men there. As for the family stand they should move it up to the club deck. The broomie is becoming the singing srction and attracting fan groups we should build that stand up as the singing section and get families and kids with more stewards up the cd.
  12. Would keep him ahead of Clark. Good luck Jon
  13. Yeah you're sort of highlighting my point mate. I get angry as well at the overpaid fuckin imposters too. But imagine how different it would be if we paid these lads the average UK wage, the same as every other club, and the players playing for us were there playing for the jersey and not the money. Would the abuse still be the same if our players found themselves 3-0 down? Like i said, it's a product of modern football now that supporters are more 'paying customers'. A friend of mine is going to compete in a national contest next month, if he doesn't do as well as expected i'm not going to start screaming at him that he's a cunt lol.
  14. I've never been to a game and left before the final whistle. The subway loayl should be banned from singing No Surrender. Supporting your team amounts to more than showing up for a singsong when your winning. Walking out when we're losing is a fucking disgrace.
  15. I was surrounded by some of the angriest men i've ever seen. Boy behind me gave me a saliva shampoo and ended up with a ripped up ticket confetti down my neck. It struck me... if this was your local team, maybe a pub team with your pals and you went down to watch, you wouldn't start abusing them with a barrage of calling them cunts and shitebags at the top of your lungs. Once upon a time heading to the match and supporting the Rangers would have been like supporting your pals. Nowadays thanks to what modern football has become, we're more angry paying customers expecting to get what we pay for rather than true supporters.
  16. It's not about a static graphic, it's how the player interact and the runs they make. Anyone watching us can see our preferred route to goal is to pass in a horseshoe til we have a wide crossing position. If the balls out left i'd expect Miller to go near post, Boyd back stick and Vuckic hanging around the D, possibly even late runs from deep from Shiels. Boyd holds the ball well with his back to defenders, again runs from Vuckic and Miller off him should create clear chances.
  17. Doubt it mate they can't hold a position.
  18. Zaliuskas comes over to challenge the attacker so Wallace switches with him and moves into LCB position as he s supposed to do. It was a poor piece of defending from both, and if Wallace had gotten a shout from McGregor that the coast was clear to go double up they could have dealt with it better. Regardless, there was no glaring error from Wallace, covering into LCB is what he's supposed to do. It's not like he misplaced a 10 yard pass, across the face of goal, inot a midfield that was a man light due to a short-option he ignored.
  19. Ok so you concede that being of the field doesn't override the offisde rule if you run on to collect the pass?
  20. Seriosly need to get Law & Foster to fuck, total fuckin liabilities. We're still in this tie despite their best efforts in costing us a 3rd and very nearly a 4th. switch Miller with Shiels so he's on the right side and can rotate with Vuckic, Vuckic likes to drop deep and make something happen and Miller likes to make forward runs from deep so they need to switch it up with each other as to not leave any gaps exposing the midfield. I can't stand Iain Black but he's the best man to man the hole and protect the 2 centre-backs if he sticks rigidly to CDM. Shies was shocking but i'd give him 45 mins to see if he can make something happen, sub him at half-time if need be. With Vuckic/Miller occupying the right flank and Ferguson, who i think is possibly our best player, down the left, we can be less gung-ho with the wingbacks. No way should both be forward at the same time like we got suckered with yesterday... 1 goes, 1 stays. Only go foward when you can add something to the attack by combining with the players in front. Miller/Vuckic/Ferguson/Shiels should be enough fire power to supply Boyd. Under no curcumstances should Boyd come off (well unless we take the aggregate lead).
