Season feels absolutely fucked with the injuries to the forward line, and yesterday’s result.

Might just be the relentless let downs you get from Rangers in recent years, but be interested to know who else thinks that way.

Could all swing on one good / bad result, but struggling to see the league going our way now.

I know it’s hard to see it now but I still think we will do it. We need a couple of players back fit before Dundee though. I would start players that need match fitness in the benfica games to get them ready for domestic games. If we had a full squad I’d want to go for Europe too but needs must.

They probably will be a step too far, but we can't go into those games with that attitude.

Are both Balogun and Jack in the squad?

Actually not sure about the eurosquad tbh, good point

I'll stick my house on that tarrier fuck getting retrospectively banned for the challenge and that wee bastard in the black knew what he was fucking doing.

That’s the thing for me. It like this…

Rangers player heavy challenge - automatic red card, you can appeal after the match potentially costing us points…

    or

opposition player heavy challenge - yellow or he can be banned retrospectively after the match when it may have already cost Rangers points (like yesterday).

It never worked well at Kilmarnock. Fortunately his substitutions helped recover the situation.

There’s an argument he still rotated the starting 11 at killie and won though. Doesn’t matter it’s splitting hairs, overall the rotation for me has worked. Yesterdays 11 should have been good enough to win imo and I didn’t see many complaints when the line up was announced.

Strongest 11 for the Benfica games, play the kids and reserves against Hibs and strongest 11 for Dundee before the break.

Rotation is vital to keep your best players as fit as possible. If we have to rotate then do it for the cup.

Can't send a weakened team out in the knockout stages of Europe. Not a fucking chance.

Unfortunately I think benfica will be a step too far for us but I’d like to see balogun and Jack play both those games. They amongst others need to get minutes and up to speed with the rest of the squad.

We never seem to get the odd little knock that you miss one game and came back as if nothing happend.

It's always fkn months followed by them having to be rebuilt and nurtured back to match fitness.

Injuries have cost us so much in the last few years, we went into a European final with no recognised striker, the following year embarrassing in the champions league by having no central defenders.

And now if we lose this league it'll be fully caused once again by injury.

Well said. It’s sickening tbh, I’m starting to think we are jinxed.

I’ve heard what PC says about needing everyone game ready and that can only really happen by rotating players.

But two games in a row now he’s hooked players at half time because they have been a liability, not because he’s rotating but because it’s not working.

Rotating players only works if your squad is strong but our squad hasn’t got the depth to switch things up so often. Even more so as our injuries mount up.

Is it time for our strongest 11 every time and bin rotation at least until he’s got a summer window under his belt?

It was working until today. I think his main reason doing it was to get the injured players in and up to speed to give us a healthy squad. I’m not sure we can rotate much now with players dropping like flies as per.

He was looking straight at the foul for the penalty, desperate not to give it

Another thing I want to know is when the replays are been shown why was the view from the back post of the Copland being used time and time again? It wasn’t clear from that angle who got to the ball first. Eventually the angle from the broomloan clearly showed Silva clipping the ball over O’Donnell, where was that view straight after the incident and why didn’t they play that over and over at the time? It took so long to award it seemed like the officials did not want to give it.

I thought it was the Motherwell player’s knee that made contact with Mcausland’s calf or shin, I don’t think it was his boot.  I’ve only seen the one angle, a different one would give a different perspective.  Tough one for the young lad.
