Decent full backs is the only way this system can work. We have two that are past it.

I was two cans away from posting the same as the OP. My frustration comes from the fact that we’ve spent a lot on that frontline and Sima and Dessers look dugmeat and Lammers and Danilo have only shown glimpses. I maybe stupidly hoped at least a couple would hit the ground running. They were getting twitchy across the city about the coming season but our last couple of performances will settle any nerves. I can only hope that Beale knows what he’s doing.

I know it’s early days but Dessers is gonnae be shite eh. On the other hand I love Cifuentes already. Mibby it’ll click at the weekend. Or the game after that.

Passing from the new boys needs to be better in the final third or Sevette will punish us on the break. Cantwell been class.

Deserved nothing from that game and the worst of it is we could all see that coming. Whatever Beale’s master plan is, he needs a new one.

Its a sore one to admit but, for me, if anything Beale has got this group of players over-performing. Gio loses the last few OF games by at least 4. Chase the 4 or 5 imposters and I trust him to find players that slot in to the style he wants us to play.

Morelos is finished. Has never been a natural finisher and now his link up and pace is gone too. Roofe leading the line has rarely worked for us but if he gets a couple of chances at least he might take one. Roofe’s also got the intelligence to link up with the one touch stuff hopefully going on round about him next weekend.
