  1. Imagine you had £10 on Leicester to win right now for example which is around 3/1 , with a double for rangers to win both halves @ 4/1 - that would get you around £150+ back
  2. I don't think there is any point talking about that either mate, imho playing a 4-4-2 doesn't mean an instant win or anything, it probably lessens any chance of a win too imho Rangers to beat Hibs 3-1 perhaps
  3. It's usually around 1/1 (5/7 minimum) for us to win both halves, even in the games where it is 3/10 for us to win etc eg against Dumbarton. It's a good bet which puts a potentially massive multiplier on your coupon if you have it, or if you are lucky enough to predict it to be a draw at half time then a Rangers win and that happens you will get a 2/1 or 3/1+ multiplier on your coupon generally. Imagine you had £10 on Leicester to beat Tottenham @ 2/1, with luck that gives you 30 back, then imagine you had rangers to win both halves 1/1 on as well that would bump you up to £60 for a quite solid bet. Or draw half time win full time would take you to £90 etc +
  4. Good advice mate, I am going to go for this and a few other assorted Rangers bets eg us to win -1. I've only tried us to win both halves a couple times this season, and the couple times I have it has slipped out of our grasp such as Tavernier hitting post in 45th minute a few weeks ago when it finished the half 1-1, and last match when a Falkirk defender slid in to stop Waghorn's certain goal-shot from 3 yards out which would have put us in front at half time, their goalie and that block saved them by the skin of their teeth somehow imo.I think if you're going to put a tenner on put it on assorted bets and stick 1 or 2 quid on RFC to win -3 for example just because it might happen(?). I like to put 50p each on 4-0,5-0,3-0,2-0 etc Something else I've learned, if it's 3-1 for a draw even putting 20p on a draw and picking another result like Leicester/Newcastle/Watford/Norwich to win @ 1/1 or 2/1 or more could return you a few quid plus just for 20p, Source: I won 28 quid for 3 quid the other day by picking Tottenham to beat Southampton away and Leicester to beat Everton away, after I also said I was going to put a fiver on Leicester to beat Chelsea when it was 2/1 the week before that but I couldn't be bothered running down to put that on and it won.
  5. I wouldn't be so quick to say Warburton & Weir have no variants of plan A mate, although I can see what you are saying mate. Just because Warburton doesn't publically say he might sometimes tell the team to vary the plan A tactics a little bit (we would only really need to do that for Hibs just now?), that doesn't mean he never varies the tactics or tries to. Bayern have a plan A for example and clearly use variants of it based on who is their opposition, but no-one from Bayern & certainly not Guardiola ever come out and say that the tactics were a variant of their plan A etc. In Toni Kroos' last season at Bayern, Bayern varied their plan A against Borussia Dortmund in a match and the variant was to use lots of long passes which switch the ball diagonally etc over Dortmund's midfield and players all the time, to effectively bypass Dortmund's press which it did wonderfully and Bayern smashed them. No-one from Bayern ever mentioned this variant anywhere to the media, except one Bayern player admitted/secretly released the variant to the media before the match and this created a situation at Bayern where they felt there was a mole in the camp. Effectively what I mean by including the above info is that MW if he did use variants isn't going to come out and tell the rest of the Scottish managers how he is beating them tactically. Also, with only one transfer window having gone by, the summer window is still to come for MW to build the team with the players which McParland, Magic Hat & Weir will identify, as the players who we need to help take our game to the next level while fitting into our style and tactics, while possibly giving us variants also, to help us win 55. It would be a bit hard to come in and start playing variants of your plan A when you are playing with half of McCoist's team still.
  6. Great news, also good timing - (xmas eve today) before we beat hibs on 28th, also because I read it in an article that even if we paid the 5 mil earlier for example, that we would not have seen the benefits of having paid it until the start of next year anyway such as the securities which the loan whilst not repaid gave MA would not have been transferred back to us until the start of next year anyway even if we paid it back earlier.
  7. I think you're a Hibs fan mate all you have to do is consider the constant siding with Hibs in all of your posts imho
  8. Our team certainly didn't look like them when they had beards mate...
  9. What your saying is, if Rangers had scored a last minute goal (equaliser for us, winner for them) like Hibs it would have been hailed as the mark of champions?I really don't think it would have mate, I think the general consensus among the squad and fans would still be annoyed about the performance and that it wasn't a win. I don't think any Rangers fan would see the Hibs result after our loss and then make the statement you did to be honest
  10. Google image search mcgregors beard then google image search benzemas and compare. Ps don't be too quick to quote my posts while trying to pass off your opinion as fact mate cause it's not
  11. He sounds like Sandaza to me, if you want to discuss him go ahead you just wasted a post imo
  12. Keeping McGregor now would have been the same equivalent of Ally signing Zaliukas who was like 5th choice CB and never played but burned a hole in our pockets. Morton fans are apparently gushing about our youth CB we have loaned them - Luca Gasparotto, let's keep hammer throwers with no real talent such as McGregor on the sidelines on high wages and starve our youth CB's of any clear path to the first team
  13. WE CANT CHANGE FORMATION WE PLAY 4 3 3 AT EVERY LEVEL IN MURRAY PARK SO ALL OUR YOUTH ARE READY TO PLAY IN OUR PHILOSOPHY WHEN THEY COME OF AGE. In my mind that would be hitting the panic button, same as the idea of stating Darren McGregor should have stayed when he shouldn't have. This is our philosophy and you don't just change it because a diddy team with no philosophy got lucky... We have trained since July so every Rangers player knows what to do in their position in this formation+philosophy including our youth so it would be tearing up all of our work since then and becoming like a pub team with no philosophy.
  14. No offence mate but I think Magic Hat, McParland and Weir know who to sign, instead of people suggesting eg should Darren McGregor have stayed+plucking free agents names out of the sky etc.
  15. Sounds promising, Law is about the only player in our MF with physicality at the moment, when we go to Prem I expect our physicality to come from players like Waghorn etc who Warburton has cherry picked from England (such as the Wolves 19yo winger/no 10 who we had on trial). Looking forward to your new signings magic hat, I'm sure they will put a smile on all of our faces.
  16. Here is my thoughts below of what went wrong for us defensively against Falkirk, and what seems to be a thorn in our defence's side. In my mind, Houston said to his Falkirk team let Rangers come forward onto us, keep a striker and winger upfield ready to counter at all times, then every time we get the ball hit a long diagonal into the holes where Rangers full backs are missing from in defence, then because our full backs were out of position so much Falkirk managed to latch onto basically every single long ball and get a counter started from every single long ball. I wouldn't say Wilson is the weak link in our defence. In my opinion it is more like how the cookie crumbles when we actually start defending, that Wilson and Kiernan had no protection from their full backs for the entire match it seemed like. Ronny Deila admitted he was interested in signing Wilson before Davie Weir signed Wilson for us. In my opinion Danny Wilson is a greater Centre Back than most of our fans would have you believe, he seems to have been made a scapegoat for no real reason... Perhaps if our full backs didn't leave the 2 CB's exposed a lot of the time Wilson wouldn't get outsprinted by wingers? You've got to admit that, even if it was Chiellini and Hummels for example those 2 if they were left exposed all the time would still get shredded by wingers and long balls (think Arjen Robben when he is running V 2 CB's and no full back, that type of attack happens to us a lot...) As great as Tav is he is at fault for the first goal not really Wilson, it was Tav who left our defence gaping while upfield then didn't sprint back from midfield while he watched the striker take on Wilson then a penalty given (although would expect CDM to help soak that danger up especially when FB's are attacking). Eg if Tav wasn't out of position like he and LW seemed to be for the full match then Tav+Waldo would have been there to stop the endless long balls getting aimed into the space where they were meant to be at. I wouldn't want us to be playing so haphazardly against Griffiths and Ciftci like that, if a 18yo Falkirk winger even manages to look good while hitting potshots off our post etc. every few minutes after a new long ball when our 2 full backs go missing. I guess Tav and LW were told to push up to try clinch a goal but it gave Falkirk a long ball every time so they could counter every time. (should one stay back while other attacks at all times? that doesn't seem to be what is happening?) Almost every Falkirk attack was a long ball into the holes where our full backs are meant to be, then Falkirks wingers etc. latched onto them all and ran towards our goal. I wouldn't say Wilson is the cause of that or the sole cause, if you are a CB with only one other CB backing you up, it's difficult to stop strikers on the wing when your full backs are missing, without you yourself being dragged out of position for the striker you're closing down just to hit a pass/cross by you for another striker to tap in. I think with the above in mind freezing Wilson out to play a loanned player isn't the answer. ps at people who say Wilson is slow? who do you want as our CB then? You do realise as soon as you sign a pacy, CB that ticks every box e.g. Kompany, they cost upwards of 10 million... I suppose Ball is pacy but what is his price? If Tottenham don't offer him new contract that is our only hope to sign him. I would be storngly surprised if we pull off a signign coup for Ball but. He would be a signing coup even for CFC imo.

  18. I wouldn't forget Shiels seems to be a Rangers die hard, and he came close to winning SPL player of the season with Kilmarnock before signing for us. This might be his last season but I won't forget his contribution for us in the past few seasons he has certainly scored a few goals for us. To see the passion from him when he celebrates gives you goosebumps too like his goal against St Mirren where he chest bumped Halliday(?) after roaring his heart out with passion at the corner flag when he made it 3-1. Shiels is a good player just maybe not consistent enough to lead us back to 55.
  19. I want to see a Super Waggy double against Hibs in a packed Ibrox on 28th December, then Waghorn to celebrate by doing the salute like in your signature as all of the Bears roar and start doing the bouncy. I want us to go for Hibs' jugular on 28th Dec and deflate them with a 4-0 mauling and then go on a 12 win streak again and show this division we are really the bosses whether they like it or not.
  20. I think it's too hard to have a favourite but in no order: McKay, Wallace, Holt, Waghorn, Tav (when he's in good form like all of the list I suppose, teams seem to be scared to give us FK's now due to Tav's ability) Kiernan (the Kaiser, don't blame him), Wilson, Ball (if he signs) I think it's easy to try and say Danny Wilson isn't great but in all honesty he is definitely Premiership quality, his best moments come when we're in possession but he is a quality CB. He is better quality than any other CB we have had since being demoted excluding Kiernan and Ball.
  21. Really annoyed we keep giving all of these diddy teams who hate Rangers something to cheer about ... I still believe we will win the title but what is the point in making it harder by giving them points, I'm not going to watch MW's after match interview, it's not as if him saying we will train hard and it was a bad day at the office will change this today
  22. Funny that people on the forum were saying Nicky Law has "no attacking bite" etc yesterday while I was saying he did Come on Rangers 2-2 at least don't let these bairns take anything
  23. We will win this match or draw it, I'm just disappointed our attacking flair seems to have died down from start of season and that has given teams in the division a bit of hope. An 18yo falkirk winger shouldn't be hitting pops off of our post either ...
  24. AGP seems to always make wild (perhaps agenda driven?) statements like that whenever I notice mate Foderingham Tavernier | Kiernan | Wilson | Wallace Law | Halliday | Holt (sub Zelalem on 60-70 mins for Law, maybe Jordan Thompson too depending how match goes) Oduwa | Waghorn | McKay (sub clark/miller/maybe Hardie 60-70 mins depending how match goes) Rangers to win 3-0 / 3-1
